If our ancestor's didn't move from the forest to the plains then we would still have tails and fur, if one of our ancestor's didn't decide to eat meat we would not have the brain power that we do today. And the traits are not gone, nature just improved on them, you can still be born with a tail, or fur, the ability to move ones ears is a inherited trait and it steams from when we had ears like a animal.
how does that disagree with what i said? when we moved to the plains, as you say, we didn't need tails or fur it was only in the way and thats why we evolve in way that removed those trait, am not sure what your point is.
and yes on very rare occasions some is born with a smal tail or "fur" but this is not something natural for our race today, this is a genetic defect. ppl who have tail has no use for it what so ever it's just an appendix that hangs around and serve no purpose and is basically a genetic accident. again i'm not sure what your point is
