Why are some people calling me a Imperial still?

Post » Tue Jun 12, 2012 4:50 am

They said it to my Imperial too, and she isn't even a real Imperial. She was born to Nord parents in Skyrim, but grew up in Cyrodill and married a man who became an Imperial General. He was betrayed by The Emperor and murdered by Gen. Tullius, leaving my character a widow. She came to Skyrim seeking revenge on them both.

Infiltrating the Imperial army then doing the double-cross was great, but it would have made RP'ing that character more convincing if there was less racial recognition in the Civil War quests

*an imperial

I'm the Imperial race but I joined the stormcloaks. And this guy in riften still calls me quote 'An Imperial Bastard.'

Or is he assuming that I'm with the Empire

It's because you are still an Imperial, as that is your race. It doesn't mean that you are aligned to their Political Motivations, the guy in riften is obviously prejudging you. racist bastard.

-snip snip- Brunwulf Free-Winter will explain when giving his quest to kill the bandit leader how if a Nord is attacked Ulfric will send troops. But if they threaten non-nords in his hold he does nothing.

unless ulfric come right out and says he hates other races (which he doesnt) ulfric's motives for the way the city is (not that he actually handles things in the city, as i said, he is busy with a war) is an assumption, and it can be explained away logicaly and non-racially. as for the unsnipped part, that is clearly because he assumes most nords will join his cause (and a heck-of-a-lot do) and most other races wont (which they rarely do, they could just walk in and ask though)

They don't let dark elves live anywhere outside that slum.

Well all the other houses in the city already had/have people living in them. Was Ulfric supposed to throw the original inhabitants out of their homes so that the Dunmer could move in?
They complain that it's a slum but refuse to take the iniative to clean up their own homes and district.

Yes, he should've evicted all his own residents and made the city dunmer only.

Especially since they didn't have to pay anything for any of it, nor do they pay taxes. Plus they don't owe allegiance to the hold or skyrim. Sounds like the best idea ever.

Great, now my hyperbole meter has to go into the shop again for adjustment. :brokencomputer:

BTW, for some reason Stormcloaks were calling this guy (a Redguard dressed in DB gear) an Imperial, too.

No non Nord should help the Stormcloaks. The Empire is more liberal. The Stormcloaks are a bunch right wing reactionaries. They are Skyrim's version of a redneck. By fighting for the Stormcloaks you're fighting against your own interests.
