Why bother, you're already practically invincible and dealing huge damage.

I use magic, because Dawnguard hasn't come out on PS3 yet and I've done everything in skyrim except level up my perks to 100.
(also it gives you special quests in the college of winderhold to have at least 90 in any and all magic types.)

You can also use magic for getting up your smithing by using the transmute spell and turning iron to silver, silver to gold.

That's such a boring process. I think looting Dwarven ruins is more fun and I make plenty of Dwarven Bows.

You can overpower magic too, you just have to be creative. To the extent to killing an ancient dragon in one thunderbolt dual cast.

Or you could play the game properly, without overpowering everything. The warrior class is just as effective as the mage or thief if you play the game properly.

Why is using two crafting skills not playing the game properly? They're there to be used, no? I'm not responsible for balancing them.

Is there any good reason, despite variety, for using magic?

EDIT: Also, "being creative" is just using the crafting loop for Alchemy, not necessary for the build I listed to be overpowered.

I think this question could apply to anything in the game. Why use anything in the game? Because the game lets you.

This, plus why use armor and weapons that just slow me down, I can be just as devistating, if not more so without them, and I only have to carry 16lbs of equipment to boot.

Crafting loop? Nope. Can you use creativity that doesn't involve exploits.

This is a role-playing game, not a multiplayer 'highest damage wins' piece of crap.

Do whatever you're happy with, just don't make ridiculous threads like this and expect proper answers agreeing that powerleveling and exploiting is the way to go.

The point of this series is to play how you want. If you don't want to use magic. Don't. That's how you want to play. That's great. I'm glad you are enjoying the game.

This.

Also,
when an armour skill, one handed, smithing and enchanting turns you into a god?

...why would you want that? I'd rather play an interesting game with a mildly powerful character. (I don't powergame naturally, I have to force myself to do it in situations that actually require it.)

Because this is an RPG, not an action title where you lust for the unlimited ammo BFG, nor is it an MMORPG where you grind all of "the best" skills to have just so you can be like everybody else just so you don't get killed constantly by overpowered players.

I can't quite figure out which angle to go at this from. This is ridiculous on many levels. It's like those playing a FPS asking, "Oh why don't you use this gun? It's the best one." Well, if I wanted to be bored and just do one thing. I'll follow that advice. What you haven't accounted for is that I want to enjoy the game and get some value for my money. So, I don't always use that BFG, I like to win using the smaller gun too. And I don't want to just run through bashing everyone in the face.

This is just silly.

Well I use magic because I'm on PC and have access to mods and the creation kit to make magic NOT svck. Poor console players.

It's prettier. And I get bored if I play as a warrior.
