Why would you play an orc?

Post » Fri Dec 16, 2011 3:04 pm

orcs kinda svck

Basically ^

I have no interest in playing one until they become less than a cliche. Primitive, communal, shamanic, shunned, blah blah blah ... Cliche.

We'll probably have to wait for TES:X for another reboot. If we again jump a few more centuries into the future, I hope the Orcs will have made something of themselves by then.

All races have their cliche, so who do you play?

Let the ruling classes tremble at an Orcish revolution. The Orismer have nothing to lose but their chains. They have Tamriel to win.

Try combining orc racial with the Elemental Fury shout.

Taking half damage, dealing double damage, at twice the attack speed.

You shred anything in your path, even more so if you dual wield axes ^^

And once a day? It's once per game day... so if you need to use it again before a day passed, press T, select necessary amount of hours, wait 15 seconds and voila... ready to obliterate something again :)

Plus, the sixyness of an orc is reason enough for anyone to play it.

Those sixy, shiny, sharp teeth. The silky smooth exotic green skin covering their strong, honed and well trained bodies. The long, broad, stiff axe hanging down their backs, axehead half covering their amazing buttocks. Those penetrating, determined beastial eyes!

What's not to like? :woot:

I play an Orc because they are a proud people who don't give up! We have been persecuted by all the races of Tamriel, had our homeland destroyed.....TWICE! And yet we are still the best warriors on all of Nirn!

The Ork's daily power is a good incentive. Unlike others, it is useful at every level. No matter how high a level you get, Double damage dealt and half received will be great.

I love the ability so much. Playing as a 2-hand orc, I use it all the time in tough battles. So useful, and really fits the race...

You're missing out.

I felt the same way, I didn't really like Orcs. Made one in Oblivion, and he ranked among the top five favorite characters I made in that game. Made on in Skyrim, and he is the greatest single character I've ever played in any TES game ever.

So far I've played Redguard, Khajiit and Imperial. Maybe I'll play an Argonian at some point ... but there's something about them I don't like. (I have the feeling I've experienced this lizards-as-barkeeps-and-maids idea often enough, too.) I'll play a Nord or Breton on subsequent playthroughs.

I don't much care for any of the elf races, either (including or excluding the orcs).

Does not matter. Thalmor must. all. die.

THIS FTW.

ANYTIME I see Thalmor of any sort be it Warrior or Mage... they're dead with no hesitation. BGS did a GREAT job of making me utterly HATE THALMOR. They're literally the only people (besides the Empire, obv.) that I actually HATE. I've honestly never hated an NPC in a Video Game as badly as I do the Thalmor..

And to think I used to be cool with High Elves in TES4. PSSSHHHAWWW now...

My shield will knock you out so I can stab your defenseless body with my Sword! AHHA!

Because elves are weak.

True orcs collect 14 elves ears before noon, and not the herb kind either.

Look how pretty they are all lined up, dead, on the white snows of Skyrim. It brings a tear to my orcish eye.

This game is so great... wish I hunt elves like this in every game I played :(

Now sit tight while I begin to ravish their broken bodies in unspeakable orcish manners. Don't worry, you can't really tell male elves from the females so I'll make sure I give them all a thorough orc workout.

Mo-ha-ha!

Nice display. I wish I had a screen shot of what I did in Markarath. One quest had me 'investigating the labor practices' there. Guy invited me to his house and him and his staff ambushed me. Had so much fun; threw the old man in the fireplace; arranged his staff on the banquet table in..unflattering ways. I wanted to send a message to the town what happened when they crossed me...and then I got thrown in the mine anyway. Oh well.

No, no...

Orcs are sixy...

You are completely missing the point. Orcs might have looked girly once, many thousand years ago... but they evolved from weak and frail into strong and sixy.

Elf or not, orcs are more sixy than elves :)

Your orc reminds me a lot of mine... Except I use no sissy bows, a true orc goes toe to toe with dragons starting from level 1.

Also count me in with the people who didn't care for TES orcs before Skyrim. Their design in Morrowind and Oblivion was just terrible, but the Skyrim orcs I love so much I married one! Anyone who says Ghorza isn't the fairest maiden in all of Skyrim gets a mailed fist in the face.
