Wildlife in Skyrim

I don't see that hunting makes sense as a skill. It's basically aspects of other skills like combat and stealth. On the other hand, it would be pretty cool to see hunting related equipment. Like traps.

Guys.

Guys.

Okay, this hasn't been brought up, and it's absolutely necessary to make this absolutely clear to anybody who might be reading. It could honestly mean the difference between the game being a success or a complete failure in not only the eyes of the fans, but the world itself.

Skyrim needs horkers.

I'm surprised that no one has suggested bears yet.

I hate to burst your bubbles but i doubt hunting is going to be a skill in Skryim. It hasn't occurred in any of the previous games, and there hasnt really been an instance of a province specific ability in any of the previous ES games. As for the animals, i would like to see some deer, wolves, etc.. but a scattered mix of actual fantasy creatures ive come to know and love. I really think we need the Udyrfrykte as well.

Voted for everything except penguins. I'd also like to see bears, deer, and a bunch of mythical beasts. If the wildlife was as extensive as Red Dead Redemption's that would be amazing...

Oh yeah, penguins! I'm adding that to the poll. But now I want something fantasy besides the yetis.

I always thought that a Horker was the result of a drunk Predator [censored] a seal.

Arctic wolves, penguins and snow whales for me. I've always been fascinated with wolves, even if they are trying to kill me. :unsure2:

Penguins as a passive creature would be nice, and snow whales would add some spectacle to the waters of Skyrim.

I think that their needs to be more passive wildlife to make it a realistic feeling world I guess. I mean you can't have all the animals as predators right?
Also I think there should be more types of fish or sea life apart from the annoying slaughterfish :P. You could bring back the Dreughs from Morrowind but I guess that wouldn't fit if it is a snowy type place. I remember I used a mod on morrowind which had a heap of passive sea life such as a lot of different types of fish (both passive and hostile), crabs, etc. Was awesome :P

Solstheim creatures would be great.

Would be nice to see aquatic life aside from slaughterfish too. Going by vanilla Oblivion, you'd think they were the only creatures in the water...

I hope they include the basics of what you might find in modern Canada. Elk would be nice. Arctic wolves will definitely make it in (maybe not called arctic wolves). I'd like to see all of what's listed, but I doubt we'll see yetis, or mammoths.
