Will mutants be serving in the New California Republic?

Do tribals even know about mutants?

Wouldn't call Caesars Legion tribals really.
But I would suspect that they must have come across a ghoul, trog, hillfolk or lobotomite at some point.

They are much more dangerous, organized and smarter than any tribal, I would think. If anything, they seem to have some sort of an interest in changing the tribal way of life, some other morally gray motive behind the slavery rather than just the monetary gain of buying and selling people. In Van Buren lore, they taught some primitives how to fight back against another tribe that was terrorizing them.

Caesar also was supposed to be a former member of the Followers of the Apocalypse, if that holds true in New Vegas, it might hint at some sort of bizarre dark altruism to his actions/bigger picture.

i hope they do just so we can get across the message to the people that only played fallout 3. who dont understand that not all super mutants are idiots who eat people

That's pretty offensive, don't you think? It's akin to saying every single person who played the first two games hates Bethesda and Fallout 3. Not every person who only played FO3 is a drooling idiot who has absolutely no clue about the lore in the rest of the games. I, for example, have never played the first two games, but am quite well aware of the lore in the first 2 games. Say things like "Oh boy, Fallout 3 players will be so surprised when the western B.O.S. treats them like crap" or "Oh boy, Fallout 3 players will be so shocked when they see a super mutant not killing them" is basically a blanket statement assuming everyone who played only Fallout 3 only knows the things they saw in Fallout 3.

I'm just saying, statements like yours are getting pretty tiresome.

Well dude, how many of those that bought fallout 3 are actual fallout fans?
The majority of them probably bought it because it was another cool game and when they were done with it they moved on.
Those players will be in for a surprise on the contrary to us actual fans who do read up on lore and play the older games and are more well informed.
When speaking of a larger crowd which one does not have any actual statistics of one should always use "some".
SOME fallout 3 players are gonna be in for a shock when BOS is acting like dikes towards them. ;)
But fact of the matter is that there are some fans on these boards who only played fallout 3 and has never played the old games and never intend to play the old games or even read up on them.
So in a sense, he's right, but he should have used "some" in his sentence. :P

Yeah you reboot-playerist! (You know, it's like a racist except against people who have only played the reboot of a franchise) Fallout 3 was my introduction to Fallout, but I went and played the originals. As much as people complain about playing a god-character in 3, I doubt that they played the originals considering how power armor and a gauss weapon would make you pretty much invincible. On topic, I hope there will be some Super Mutant divisions in the NCR. They could be the guys that carry Miniguns and attack heavily fortified positions. Walking tanks. That would be pretty cool.

*youve encountered a pack of deathclaws.
*You reload your guass rifle
*Deathclaw was hit in the eye for 24 damage.
*turn
*Deathclaw was hit in the eye for 29 damage
*Deathclaw was hit in the eye for 46 damage
*You were hit for 2 damage
*You were hit for 1 damage
*You were hit for 0 damage
*You were critically hit for 43 hit points and knocked off the ground
*You were hit for 4 damage
*You were hit for 7 damage
*You were hit for 0 damage
*You were critically hit for 29 damage.
*You were killed

Easy? I think not.

i meant in general. most people who played only fallout 3 never looked into the lore.

they probably will just buy it because its another cool looking first person shooter.

thats not to say all of them will. some (like you) are real fans.

i admit to have been introduced to fallout by fallout 3.

i actually beat the games in a reverse order. 3 then 2 then 1.

each better then the last.

I can honestly say that that has never happened. Everything was easy after I got my hands on some power armor. Late game items were so incredibly unbalanced that it wasn't even funny.

Well most of the time I played it unpatched and with very low luck and the perk bloody mess (which works both ways) most of the time so that might be why. :P

I'd like to see Supermutants and ghouls dispersed amongst all factions that aren't biased against them. Mariposa Supermutants all retain their personality and desires, so some would be more apt to being NCR rangers while others might prefer to mix into the ranks of CL, if they would allow it. As that group might appeal to those supermutants who agreed with The Master 100%. (Not sure on the backstory of CL, if they consider supermutants and ghouls to be kill on sight or not.)
