Still no confirmation for this "rune" myth.

Yeah, I couldn't find a correct way to say it. Thanks :D

Lol, I disagree with that. WoW's system is much too cookie cutter for my liking.

In other words, I don't like straight line tiers of armor/weapons

for example

Tier 1 staff = Tier 1 two handed sword = Tier 1 two handed mace = Tier 1 Bow

That is called balance and you are going to have it here too. It is sorta required for a decent multiplayer experience. Also, at you guys talking about dps, that number is all calculated into white swings only, special attacks scaled differently. How its set up in Eso is yet to be revealed, much less determined. the couple hundred they have in the friends and family beta will not come anywhere close to showing decent balance numbers than the 10k they will likely invite during the later beta periods, and even with that there will be a balance patch 2-4 weeks after release. The sheer aggregate of metrics will show them where the majority of issues lie, not to mention the changing up of the metagame to keep the game alive.

It seem to be in ESO just like it is in any elder scrolls game, In the tutorial video i watched theres both an Iron sword which had 11 dmg and Iron greatsword being 14 dmg, no speed modifier or dps counter present, that's instant win in my book. :bunny:

Really?

oh hell yeah.

This confirms that its not like WoW's system, thats what i'm talkin' about.

Just made my night.

I do get that too, I don't see, logically, how holding an object would prevent you from conjuring a fireball from your hands (then again, if that object is made of wood, you might have a problem) so I see both sides.

I agree this would be nice. If their was one mmo that resembled TES combat then this is it http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4UsZ89daV5g

It's not really a myth, since the development mentioned it, but I suspect runes are no longer in. The combat AMAs didn't mention anything about them, and I don't think they've been talked about since E3 last year.
