Will they Ever fix the Dark Brotherhood mask?

Post » Fri Jun 22, 2012 3:28 am

Since I began the Dark Brotherhood questline, I envied Astrid's awesome Shrouded Cowl. It's been about half a year since the game came out and to this day I haven't found a mod that fixed it so male characters wear a masked cowl. Is it moddable/patchable? This is possibly one of the coolest hooded gear in the series so it would be a shame if this issue stays unresolved.

Well I am a console gamer and they should fix it of course!!

You know I was just wondering about this the other day while going through my stuff. I hope they do.

I don't use it because it looks ridiculous.

I was really looking forward to cold-climate inspired DB armor this go around. A little heavier and some fur linings. Something like this:

But alas, we got another weird skin-tight thing just like in Oblivion, except this time around it really does look like some kind of bdsn suit.
I actually didn't think the armour in OB was too bad at the time. But yeah when your burly Nord wears it he shrinks in size and looks as if he is wearing lycra. The hood also looks ridculous. It makes you look like a pixie. But getting the mask might make it look a bit better. All the hoods look pretty strange.

It should of been resolved along with the annoying bug when you go completely bald while being a vampire and wearing a thieves guild hood. They knew about these issues since day 1, But they decided to put out kinect and dlc instead.

Can't you just go into the creation kit, find the nightingale hood, and create a duplicate of it. Then Edit that duplicate to put the DB hood enchant on it. record the Item ID and then use the console in game to give it to yourself.

This same thread was posted earlier. I think the mask looks pathetic, and am glad that it is not included on male characters. The entire armour set looks like some medieval gimp suit.

Ya I use the thief Guild master armor.. looks A LOT better in my opinion.
