Will this game run properly on PS3?

Even a well-tested engine in the hands of a good developer can result in disaster when said developer is beholden to a publisher which is known for rushing products to store shelves game-breaking bugs and all.
Like EA with Mercenaries 2. Was very promising and they rushed it a year early. Sent Pandemic (the developer) into bankruptcy.

I am not sure how many reviewers used PS3 versions to conduct their reviews but I haven't heard any of the reviewers said they had any problems with the PS3 version. I don't know if it is because they didn't play the PS3 version or if there are really aren't any problems with the PS3 version but I have watched and read many reviews and not one mentioned any problems with the PS3 version.

I doubt anyone has gotten their save file to a large size yet. Waiting to see what happens THEN!

Seriously how many times does it need to be said? THIS IS NOT A BETHESDA GAME. It's not skyrim. You're not going to be hoarding every random object you find and the game trying to keep track of every book or cup you knocked over. There won't be any "save files getting that big".

Different developer, different type of game. The end.

I saw a 52 minute ps3 gameplay footage on youtube ,it shows the first mission and some other things,it looks like its running good so yeah it should run properly on the ps3, but if you're unsure wait a while and check some reviews , articles, etc. :user:

Ill admit im a lil worried because im one of the ones who had a hoffic skyrim experiance from 1 hr into the game.
I know dishonored isnt made by bethesda.......but
PEOPLE NEED TO UNDERSTAND IF ITS GOT BETHESDA OR gamesas PRINTED ON THE COVER PEOPLE WILL
ASSOCIATE IT WITH SKYRIM AND FONV AND ALL THIER RELATED ISSUES. PERIOD.
I know a whole bunch of gamers who dont use the internet.
Infact i know a 56 year old gamer who doesnt even have the internet, he didnt even know what updates were until I told him a few months ago.
Devs like bethesda gotta take these people (no matter how small a percentage of gamers) into account and step their game up instead of relying on patches.
He swore hed never buy bethesda again.
At least with a mega drive/nes/snes/n64 game you knew the glitchs wernt game killers or usually anywhere near as bad.
So yeah people getting mad at concerned ps3 owners is just a waste of time.

On a side note Im very much looking foward to picking up my dishonored preorder;
and I doubt the largest dishonored save file would more than a third of the size of the biggest skyrim save file.

I agree. Although regarding Skyrim there will most likely be a Skyrim re-release later some time that include all the DLCs and the latest patch. Happened with Morrowind, Oblivion, Fallout 3 and Fallout: New Vegas.

Sounds good as the day I got my platinum trophy I sold my copy.... for $8 less than I got it for in the first place
I also have a new PS3 so that may help my skyrim playing too... who knows (not that it should anyway).
My 56 year old workmate wouldnt even buy a re relaese, infact id be banned for quoting what he said about bethesda lol.

You know what though, this is one of the things that I really hate about game developers nowadays. They always assume, "Oh, we'll just patch it later or rerelease it!" when they should be focusing on making these games run well to begin with. Why would I spend more money to buy a game I already own? Who cares if they make it run better later on all that matters to me is whether or not the game was worth it to begin with.

Well, in this particular case it will probably be cheaper to buy the re-release than to buy the DLCs separately.

Like with Fallout 3 for example, there you had the main game for $50 and then the 5 DLCs for $10 each. And then the Fallout 3 GOTY release for $40 or whatever it was back when it was released, cheaper than the DLCs separately and even includes the main game too for that price.

I do agree that patches have somewhat ruined the quality control though, but at the same time the games gotten far more complex as well. It's not just a one-sided issue.

Anyway, back to the PS3 Dishonored discussion :P

I don't know, but I'm sure as hell not falling for it again. I'm going to wait for a few weeks, and even then I'm apprehensive about giving money to failthesda.

Had some folks asking about it elsewhere -- whether or not we sent PS3 review copies of Dishonored. To answer that, we sent the PS3 release of the game to most reviewers (in some cases we sent multiple platforms).
