My problem is, with every new dlc I'll want to start a new character.. If I do that I run the risk of getting sick of the game before all the DLC have been released.. I can easily play through all the dlc with my old character but I'm kind of sick of playing with her. I've gone ahead and built an Interim character that I hope I can stick with while all the dlc get released. But that'll be really hard because I'll feel like I'm missing things that might have changed in the beginnings of the game.

You can use every weapon and perk in one playthrough, there's no plot variation or significant changes based on your decisions like NV. Your argument is illogical.

I hate restarting games like this. I've got like like a month of time played between only two characters. The one I'm playing now, i've left several quests, many locations and a couple settlements alone so there is plenty to go back to. Waiting for WW to do something with spectacle island, and been stocking up on lab coats, longshoreman outfits, mailmen outfits , etc(roommate gave me good idea of giving settlers certain clothing to specify their jobs before that one patch came out, but still do it) for the settlements we'll have in Far Harbour. If I do restart it wont be until after all dlc is released I would imagine.

No restarting for me. Not for WW not for far harbor likely never restarting another character. I restarted twice shortly after release because I found out about some glitches (RIP) that I could make use of from the get go. Now I've got my character the way I want I've no reason to restart. 3 and NV I've played through so many times but the appeal just isn't there this time around.

Wow, in NV you get slightly different end slides depending on the "choices" you make. As I said, wow.

People like to keep characters separate and develop their own backstories. The story of the game is irrelevant to this. I also dont understand why do you need an argument. I think its much cleaner and nicer to have multiple characters who are distinguishable from another than just simply strap on everything on one character.

fallout 4 obviously isn't for you so why exactly are you still on this fallout 4 thread? to bash a game you don't like ? you should move on since you're so bent out of shape about fallout 4, every game isn't for everyone, i'm sure there's some game out there you'll enjoy.

actually you can't use every perk in fallout 4, i don't know very many people who actually play to level 275, it would take a very long time to level up to that, even getting to level 50 takes a long time and thats only 50 perks out of 275, most people restart long before level 100, some never go past level 50, so your argument isn't logical and in NV you can use every weapon and actually in NV and fallout 3 its a lot easier to max out most every skill so you're not making any sense.

thats not me saying he can't have an opinion, thats me asking why he's on the thread of a game he doesn't like, maybe he doesn't want to give the real answer, my guess is he doesn't like that bethesda took over the fallout franchise and he doesn't like how they make their games, so that goes back to my question why is he here if he dislikes the game so much?

No reason at all to restart with the workshop. The building parts will likely require some sort of perk to build, so just scrap an old settlement and plop down new stuff.

No because I just restarted a few days ago, 18 hours in now so I am hoping I will have a few set up settlement prior to WW, then when WW comes out I will add new stuff to my already set up ones and then go from there.

Will I start a new game for this? Oh hell no.

I already have 2000ish+ extra things to build with, I am pretty sure the dlc won't add anything that's going to knock me over. It will add things that will enhance what I have already built, which is good enough for me!

This ???? I've put way too much time into building what I've already got to start again. Have enough materials to build anything new from the DLC and been so busy building stuff that I've still got plenty of story line and radiant quests to do. WW only going to enhance what I've already done ??

I will be restarting once we have:

Automatron (check)

Wasteland Workshop

new Survival Mode

Creation Kit

I hope to see all of them released by the end of April?

Going to start a new character and play him right into the Far Harbor release ^_^

Same here. I'm not planning on starting a new character for the DLC (at least not the DLC that's been announced so far), but I'm anxiously awaiting survival mode to start up a new character. Hopefully the wait's almost over. I'm ready to get started on the survival beta.

No reason to restart pre existing files for the DLC. I can just re-arange settlements on the fly to make room for the new stuff.

[quote name="Roachor" post="25107712" timestamp="1459110686"]lol @ any dlc being worth restarting, game has zero replay value there's barely any difference regardless of how you play.[/quote

I've already put multiples more hours into F4 than I could stomach out of the last Fallout game before getting rid of it for free. North of 200 hours total for this game and still going. A grand total of 40 hours (And when I say '40' I'm really just rounding up because I don't remember the exact 30 somethying total) in thelast game before I lost all interest.
