windhelm arena dlc

Post » Tue Jan 01, 2013 9:20 pm

Should bethesda add the windhelm arena in a small dlc like the price of hearthfire.

They could add it in anf have a courier come to you and hand a letter from the jarl of windhelm
it could say that the arena has been reopenned.

What do you think

would you buy it

Yes, I would buy it, as it served as Windhelms Prison too I believe. Would buy it without hesitation.

Wait, your wording makes it sound like this is lore confirmed. I'n interested in the idea, but I'm curious. Was this something in TES I: Arena?

There is a half-completed Windhelm arena in the game now. It was disabled before the game shipped.

Why is everyone so obsessed about arenas... the arena in oblivion was lame and arenas in general are lame. You 1) fight and 2) get money.. both of which you can do any time, anywhere and easily. And once you do it theres litte else to get from it.

NO ARENA DLC!

AH! Even more reason to make one, then. Maybe they could actually introduce the quest about the runes/insect jars and Rune of the theives guild XD

Well, that depends. If the npcs you fight are like the ebony warrior in strenght, and are not actual characters, heck yeah. Also, if you helped capturing certain enemies, like trolls, or even dragons if you've gone a little far on the MQ. Also enemies from DLCs if you've got them. That would be nice, a playground battlefield for those who play on console and want to make epic battles.

It should be free in a Update.. They took it out of the game for their laziness.. It is only right if they gave what was supposed to be in the original game for free..

I have been saying repeatedly that lack of an arena is the only thing keeping this game from mega-greatness. You bet I would buy it; that's what I want the most.

They should release it for free to everyone but you; Charge you for the DLC because you seem to feel some sort of vindication by labeling them as lazy people.

because all developers that can't get everything to work 100% before the deadline are automatically lazy.

I wouldn't mind.. If all of you got it for free, then that would be a big step forward for Bethesda.. And I must say, don't be ignorant to Bethesda's laziness.. I could think of loads of things which would label Bethesda as lazy.. And I am quite against anybody doing such a thing, where you take something which was supposed to be in the orginal release and make people pay for it after.. Call of Duty did that but its not too hard to go into the files in that case and play the map without paying for it.. Except for Bethesda, it wasn't finished, but that doesn't mean you simply make them pay money because you weren't able to finish something in time.. CD Projekt is a very admirable developer when it comes to this, why not have Bethesda be the same for once?

What else were they working on? Bethesda is like the biggest time waster ever.. They have a grossly gigantic team and its not even a lot of good content.. You can have 500 dungeons and 5 million quests, but it all comes down to which dungeons are fun and memorable and same goes for the quests.. They wasted a load of time on this "Radiant Story".. Even in the world of Skyrim itself, it lacked Atmosphere.. A very boring setting and I am surprised they didn't add fantasy elements to a fantasy game.. The game is generally unbalanced based on rate the character and the enemies in the world improve.. Where in all of this does this equal 4-5 years of work..?

Bethesda has a team of 100 people, for a game like skyrim, that is stupidly small.

They would REALLY have to dangle the carrot for me to bite. It might be because my state of mind is still that of my Battlemage, but I just don't need public adoration of an Arena to kick peoples asses.

Maybe if I rolled a straight up bruiser with an ego to feed, maybe.

As far as buying it? Yes, but only for the extra armor and weapons they would come with it.

True, it is quite small. I only blame them for chains. They look like paper... at least you don't see them too often. But getting back to the thread, sounds good, but, what about a little storyline before? Like helping on building the arena, bringing monsters and a few persons (randomly generated so no NPCs are killed) and so on... and a special battle with many monsters where you can bring two-three followers. Enemies would be really high level or swarms.
