does decapitation happens when the power attack damage was insufficient to kill the enemy? if so that perk=25% insta death!

I'm fine with it the way it is. Some games go way overboard with gore to the point of ridiculousness. I wish all violent games had a dismemberment/gore/blood option to turn on or off. That way when someone like me who is 17 is playing around parents I can switch it off, but otherwise maybe go for a bit more realism.

Have you taken the "Standing power attacks can cause decapitation" perk yet? (it's in both the 1-hand and 2-hand perk trees.)

What he/she said. I never gotten them until I took that perk. Now I get them occasionally.

really.......i've hardly had any decap animation finishes...at all...and im playing melee lol

....i really don't get how the finishers work are they random?

Decapitation is a perk for one handed.

Severing limbs in sword combat isn't realistic at all, unless you're a jedi.

I'm a bloddy decapitator now and the game doesn't keep track of how many heads I chopped off? Damn! Who forgot to add that to the Combat Stats??? Cut his head off!!!

I got my head sliced clean off by a Necromancer yesterday...
So I do believe it is in. But only by executing a certain finisher.
