Women in movies that came out in the '40s are the HOTTEST

Post » Sun May 13, 2012 7:34 am

Anyone agree? I know there all old or dead now but they were pretty hot back then. Oh and does anyone wonder if cleopatra was hot? Apparantly there arent any pictures of her left. Oh! Joan of arc! she was probably pretty hot too. Any thoughts?

Same goes for the men, though I'd stretch the time frame to include the 50s as well.

Do you mean http://30.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_l2qde663OS1qah2gqo1_500.jpg? She was very pretty.

If you mean the real Cleopatra... She lived just a bit before photography was invented. :P

Meh...not many. Judy Holliday was cute and spunky. Betty Grable had the legs.

Move twenty years forward and you find Rachel Welch....yarr.

[edit] Misspelled...should be http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Raquel_Welch

Still looks good to me.

Cleopatra was apparently not the great beauty afforded to her in legend. Plutarch claims there was nothing particularly striking about her, and that her attractiveness came from her wit and charm.

I imagine being on fire makes you pretty hot, so yes.

Did you see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hedy_Lamarr? Hot and a genius - she invented the spread-spectrum communication technology used in a lot of modern communications, including WLAN (IEEE 802.11).

Was Elizibeth Taylor back around then, because she was hot in her youth.
Overall modern girls are looking a lot better.

Hmm..never heard of her. I'd like to see a picture with her in it. I'm not really a 40's film buff, but I do enjoy old flicks from time to time.

I did wonder if even HL2 might be an obscure reference!

Its hedley!.

Hedley Lamarr was a villain in Blazing Saddles; the actress was called Hedy. edit: yeah, I had to look it up: I knew I'd heard the name somewhere, but couldn't for the life of me remember where...

They were hot, yeah, but not any hotter than today's beauties. Or the ones before the 40's.

It seems Elizabeth Taylor did play in some movies in the 40's but she was very young.
Cleopatra was mentioned earlier, and Ms. Taylor owned that role in 1960...acclaimed by many to have been the best representation ever.
I never really liked her.
However, that being said, I really never liked Marylyn Monroe either, yet she had something a little more than Ms. Taylor's Glamour.

But we're talking '40's...Lauren Bacall was very lovely.

If she did do films in the 40's I'd be strange for think she was hot since after a quick google she'd have been 8-18 since the majority of the time she'd be too young.
Marilyn Monroe was good looking too.

But since they're out of the 40's race so am I since I'm to young to know anyone away back then :P

I prefer women from times where they didnt have brown teeth and shaved.

Still atleast they didnt have fake tan back then.
