I would appreciate if they toned down attacks on your house.

It gets rather annoying as far as I am concerned.

This is my same complaint about Dawnguard as with Hearthfire. Seems these silly little DLCs are mainly based on random attacks. Which annoy me also and make me not want to play the game anymore. By the time you finish up at certain things in game, half the quest givers are obliterated. I want to build a house in the middle of no where so I have somewhere to go and relax and practice alchemy, build and collect items and trophies. Not to be attacked every five minutes by some giant, vampire, or dragon.

On top pf the fact that these are not the EXPANSIONS we were promised. Just more Horse Armor sized junk DLCs IMHO. Slowly Elder Scrolls is dying out in my heart and not worth playing anymore. Sad because when I fell in love with the series, I thought it was going to go on for along time. Not have it torn apart at the hands of incompetent Devs.

You only have Lakeview Manor? My current character hardly ever gets attacked at the other two houses.

Actually I've had far fewer home attacks than I've expected. I've had two giants attack, one bandit group kidnapping my wife (awesome, by the way), one vampire coven raid my home, one dragon thinking he could tangle with the Dovahkiin and his entire family+steward+bard (fantastic battle, that was), and one skeever infestation. I should mention I've been playing almost non-stop since Hearthfire dropped. I think it's due to my lack of fast-travelling. Maybe try fast-travelling to a location near your home and hoof it the rest of the way?

No we were promised four ( I think four) big 'DLC' as well as a few smaller ones.

I have all 3 but use only lakeview. It's not that I cannot handle the attack but it gets old quick. My house is like a dragon beacon.

We were promised small DLC for free, to be included in patches to keep us entertained between expansions.

I guess the smell of money is too good :D

I didn't add a cellar so I wouldn't have to fight skeevers. So far I had one giant, which we easy to fight. I just ran up the stairs above the bedrooms and kept shooting him with arrows. My next strategy is to rush in the house, climb up the stairs where my alchemy tower is, climb up on the roof, and pelt them all with arrows from above.....

I just came back to my manor at lakeview after finishing a quest. I did circle the house and I got attacked by nothing. It is so much unusual I feel like reporting this in the technical support section ;)

People wanted a Vampire perk tree.. People wanted a Werewolf perk tree... guess what? They also wanted House building and adoptable children? They are listening to what people wanted.. But like you said.. its your opinion..

People said the same about the vampire attacks, yet I encountered three or four in all my hours of dawnguard gameplay.

Yet to have a house attack.

They probably used the same mechanism to stage attacks on your home, as they did vampire attacks on the cities.... so.... some folks hardly see them at all, others, can't turn around without having to defend a location again....

Actually, there was a very thorough poll about this a while back, OP & Poster #2.

The majority of people voted that the attacks are just fine and to leave the attacks not only in the game, but they also voted to keep them at the same frequency.

The voting was overwhelming in favor of the attacks last time I looked.

Just letting you know.

I've had two separate rat attacks in the cellar and two separate giants outside.

And then about a dozen vampires from the Dawnguard DLC. That's actually more annoying, I think.

The attacks at my manors have been few and far between. Lakeview has had a Giant, Dragon and skeevers. Oh yeah, those pesky mudcrabs either walked up from the near-by pond, or got drafted there by the dragon's wings. All were relatively easily dispatched. The horse and Bard actually joined in against the dragon. Heljarchen had a skeever infestation and a wolf attack (which the horse finished). Windstad got some bandits and those horkers waddled up to donate their meat and tusks. All in all, it hasn't been a big deal. I suppose that this will change now.

Actually I felt that way when a dragon failed to turn up and greet Braggen when he returned to Lakeview Manor one time. Only happened once, maybe the dragon got lost, I did go looking for it, just in case.

There are tons of people who are fine and happy with these tiny little "additions". $5 for this and all the people that gobble it up = easy money. If people weren't so lemming like and satisfied by the most mundane and simple things... we may have some incredible content.

I do enjoy Dawnguard though...

Personally I do prefer heartfire to Dawnguard. I'm not saying I dislike dawnguard (wich, for honesty sake, I have not completed yet. I am in the soul cairn right now). I just find Dawnguard main quest... Underwhelming. It fails to motivate me to see more of it. I do enjoy all the little addition it brought much more than the quest itself. If they want to get my interest they would have to bring me DLC that is truly unique with REALLY new location. A good example of a great DLC was Shivering Isles for Oblivion. I felt like I never wanted to return to Tamriel after that one.

i like the dlc,i enjoy my new house, when i'm not checking to make sure everyone is still alive and not disappeared, lol.my family and i live in the pale,i haven't had it that bad,but i don't currently have dawnguard installed,we had a big discussion that turned into a bit a a heated argument on here last week, but with all the clay and quarry stone available around the house if it were really me and my family i would build a wall around the property, and it would of been a nice option.

I just had a dragon attack yesterday. Then Camilla (as stupid as I have ever seen her), came out and started helping me fight it, while getting burned alive. Then, even more stupid, she jumped right in front of me as I shot a arrow at the dragon and I killed her by accident. Theres something called staying in the house if your not going to help, lol. Thank goodness for previous saves....
