If YOU designed the final encounter, how would you do it?

Well, since dragon mounts are now an integral part of the DLC, it'd be awesome for the final battle to be between you and the first dragonborn both riding dragons while fighting

I would make it like Batman and Bane. The Hipsterborn would taunt the new Dovakhiin (in Bane voice of course):
"You merely adopted the Thu'um, I was born with it."
Hipsterborn would be obviously over-powered compared to Dovakhiin and would eventually break his back and throw him into Apocrypha.
"You can watch me torture an entire island and when you have truly understood the depth of your failure, we will fulfill Alduin's destiny... We will destroy Skyrim and then, when it is done and Skyrim is ashes, then you have my permission to die."

You approach him on his throne in his Temple. He sought shelter from Hermaeus Mora inside his temple but you brought help. All the power you could need from Hermaeus Mora to defeat Miraak. He sees you approach and asks if you really think that you're any different than him. Have several speech checks based on the skill to get maybe more lore on Miraak and other stuff. Tentacles slowly start to sprout from cracks in the ground. He calls you a hypocrite and a fool. He accuses you of being nothing but a pawn of Hermaeus Mora's.

He displays the prowess of his shouts by giving himself Shout Armor. The tentacles continue to grow to almost extreme heights and other foliage from Acrophia starts to break through the foundations of Miraak's home.

You and Miraak try hard to continue your discussion and bring up various topics like Alduin and the Way of the voice. He readies himself for what will be a truly epic battle. He calls a shout shrouding his temple in fog and the battle begins.

After defeating him, he calls you a fool and a pawn, you ready your sword or w/e weapon you have and deftly chop of his head. His body lay limp on the floor until suddenly, tentacles pop out from his neck. Tentacles everywhere. And suddenly, a wild Goldbrand appears.

I don't even know where I am going with this. Lost track early in. Meh, I hope he is as cool as Harkon or Vrythur. I don't want him to be level 81 when a large percentage of the people that play Skyrim on Xbox aren't even level 50.

I want him to have a few lines of dialogue, and I want him to be evil yet intelligent. Hope his voice acting is good.

Either a long, grueling fight to the death, or an epic wabbajack duel on the top of the throat of the world. I don't want to give anything away, but the second ending would invlove cheese, a wooden sword, The Lusty Argoinian Maid (Volume 1 and 2), 10 flaming dogs, 2 mudcraps, and a single bucket.

Liberal use of Unrelenting Force and Ice Form, he should also use a blunt weapon with three ranks in Bone Breaker or Skull Crusher. Maybe even give him a perk that makes his power attack send you sailing back.

I want nothing more then to join him. Have him as a follow or even do radient quests for him (    !!!!!!) BUT my life isn't a fairy tale and I don't get my wishes granted no matter how many times I ask my fairy god parents, so I hope he is difficult as hell and puts me through quite the test that ends in a glorious flaming tumble off of a cliff into a ravine.

The two have en epic thu'um duel, that crashes the temple down around them and carves a massive valley through the island.

OP, what you suggested sounds like it would be harder than the last level of the hardest halo game on LASO.

to put it bluntly, impossible.

I'm pretty sick of shallow, mindless antagonists that want to "DEESTROY ZE WORLD" because "I IZ EVIL". Zero background, zero depth. If we're going to fight this guy, I want to fight him all the way through the DLC and learn about my enemy over a sword and spell. Charismatic, good with words and swords, a philosopher. Maybe someone I can even sympathize with despite his evil deeds. That's the kind of opponent I want to fight.

I couldn't care less about the "roar and thunder", "epicness" and other cheap thrills, but that's what we'll most likely get.

You know, actually I think he's gonna be sucha bad ass, I think WE'RE gonna have to summon all the Dragon Priests to help us... He did, after all, go against everything they worshiped. Perhaps they'll all have to endow you w/ enough power in your "newly special" shout to defeat him.

Very similar, but harder. Alduin would shout the Heroes of Sovngarde back, rendering them unconscious for the majority of the fight. He'd then summon the spirits of those whose souls he'd stolen to attack you, as he rains fire upon you from above. He'd be about twenty levels higher than the player, with much more health and a high armor rating (due to his scales).

huh? Is this about the DLC "Dragonborn?" Because it just sounds like you're re-writing the MQ for Skyrim.

True, but the key word is most. I seriously doubt he reached his high position by being Average Joe. Destruction made by mindless masses or a single evil genius may be comparable in scope or evilness, but never by reasoning behind it. But sure is easy and cheap to make him mindless evil.

he doesn't have to be charismatic and philosophical though. just determined. after all, determination in the driving force behind almost every great person.
