you've gone back in time and killed Hitler.

Post » Sat Jun 08, 2013 6:54 pm

like the title says, lets just say hypothetically you've gone back in time with your cliche time machine, now, ignoring all the rules even having a time machine breaks, you decided to take both it and your shotgun on a joyride and kill Hitler. now hes dead and your traveling back to the point where you left off, but things would obviously be different, so my question is, what would be the repercussions for going back in time and killing Hitler? ww2 caused a lot of changes in the world, so what would it be like without those changes?

There would've been another season of Three's Company.

The atom bomb wouldn't of been used, so that would be good.

The Universe will split into a timeline where Hitler was murdered. When you go back to your timeline, nothing would change.

We all would be living on the moon complaining about the traffic to Mars, while speaking Japanese.

The events would be the same, only the names would change. My guess anyway.

Why would I want to kill Hitler? What makes him more of a target than any other political figure in power in the course of history or the present?

I'm saying WWII would have still happened and played out pretty much the same. Take one man out of the equation and another will take his place.

Yes, the nukes would still have been made. Besides, America dropped it on Japan, not Germany. The war did help with helping the economy out of the slump, but it's not the reason why it became the most powerful country. It's because it's the New World. The Cold War probably would still have happened, and I have never read thid 1984 that people rave about so I cannot comment.

We would all live happily, contently and peacefully with an alien mind control brain-slug in our skulls.

Or, but this is slightly less likely, the entire planet turned into buttermilk.

maybe i should have specified more, you kill hitler right before he starts ww2, no time to talk him out of it, also, keeping Hitler alive at that point, AKA keeping one man alive, will start ww2, which cost us 60 million people, roughly. you fight to keep those people alive and stop a war.

Himmler takes control of the Nazi party, they win the war, and a glorious anti-Christian and pro-occult Aryan aeon begins!

Seriously, what sort of question is this? I mean I get it's a hypothetical and all...but it just seems a bit out there.

I can't say what I want without sounding anti-semitic and causing an uproar so I will say that the Toothbrush mustache aka "Hitler stache" would still be a military mustache as he single handedly killed it
