Marriage adds nothing to the game, rather they work on fixing some broken mechanics.

No, it's potato.
No need to bring GLaDOS into this.

I think the fact that so many people want to marry Serana proves an opportune time for Bethesda to work on a working and meaningful marriage system (for all NPC's) i dont want to marry Serana if its just going to be a "Oh, Amulet of Mara" "Intereseted?" "Yes, you?" "Yes, lets get married" followed by "I cooked you a meal for the day... just ONE!" and "i now suspiciously own a shop that youve never seen and also doesnt exist".

They are teasing, I hope as a aside they allow Xbox 360 and PS3 players to remarry. For some unknown reason they came out with a patch preventing it.

I can imagine this during the finishing touches of the game:

"And so, after Serana becomes your companion, she can marry you after a heart fell scene. Considering we made her one of the most developed characters in Skyrim, I think the players who've grown to like her would appreciate it!"

Todd: "...You know that line about, 'it's not you, it's me' that we put in case the players tried to propose to her before the last quest in Dawnguard?"

"Yes..."

Todd: "Yeah...let's make that the line that Serana says if you propose to her after you finish the quest line. It'll be hilarious! The forums would be filled and we could be like: heh, u mad bro? We can be the trolls for once!"
Good. Except the part where Todd said what I highlighted in bold.

"For once" is an understatement.

I don't care to marry Serana. I'm not into the 300 year old vampire chics with daddy issues and a slight mental issue on caves.

but I would love to see the marriage system turned into something more meaningful. I think you should actually get a legit shop to run. Ya know Helgen is the opportune place to do this in... turn it into the Dragonborn's Fort and basically you do like with the blades/dawnguard and get recruits for the fort or merchants or whatver.

Anyways I hope that add more NPCs to marry that are as 'good looking' as Serena.

What about 3000+ year old hot vamp chicks with daddy issues and a slight mental issue on caves? Hope that wasnt sarcasm on the good looking part. If so, name 1 chick in Skyrim that looks better. (anyone in a tavern outfit doesnt count :) )

Lol no thanks. I don't know how old she is as I am not sure when she was sealed. Apparently after dragons were killed off?

Do you know? I remember some dialogue about it but not much.

I'd assume around Talos's time before he was emperor, which was in the 1st era right? That would make her how old? She didnt even know Cyrodiil had an empire, so that'd be my guess.

But Talos fought dragons didn't he? I feel as though some of her dialogue contradicted when she was sealed. It seemed the things she knew didn't add up but maybe I misunderstood her

I cant say, because I dont remember anything directly saying that he fought dragons. That would be news to me.

She was sealed in the 2nd Era. She doesn't know of the Empire so it's most likely the early 2nd Era before Talos was born. And no, Talos didn't fight dragons, even though he was Dragonborn.

She says she is surprised that their is an Empire in Cyrodill, therefore she would have to be older, and have been locked away before Reman Cyrodill united the province and fought off the Akaviri.

I don't remember Talos fighting any dragon, but he did have a dragon soldier and Talos is at the end of 2nd era.
