You think that a dragonborn werewolf would go to Sovngarde?

Post » Sun Aug 26, 2012 4:58 pm

It is hard to tell.
Yes, werewolves usually go to Hircine.
But does that count for the dragonborn too? I honestly think that he/she will go to Sovngarde if he/she is a nord. While his/her beast soul goes to Hircine. The souls will be split, actually.

I am quite sure that a dragon soul would overpower a beast soul easilly. So this seems logical to me.

I am asking this because my newest nord is a werewolf. It fits her personality and appearance very well. It would be like her alter ego.
But I do want her to go to Sovngarde.

It's more likely that, outside of Shor fighting Hircine over it, that she will go to Hircine upon death. All werewolves go to Hircine, dragonborn or not. Ufortuantly, souls (as far as we know) can't be split.

Notably, you *can* set yourself up to "owe" your soul to multiple Daedra/Aedra on death, so there's that...

The daedea saying they own you and actually owning you are two different things. Hicrine is the only one we have evidence can back up his claim.

No, Nords cannot go to Sovengarde if they have beast blood.

In Kodlak's room there is a book that tells of one of the Harbinger's approaching Tsun but a large wolf appeared and took him to the Hunting Grounds.

Well, I will just cure Lycanthropy then.
Eventually I tend to stop using it anyway because I am more powerfull in human form.

Anatomy gets first dibs on the Dragonborn's soul. So in theory your character won't go to Hircine or Sovngarde, but instead to Akatosh.

I had a Nord male character. Because I wanted to finish the Companions quest line, I became a werewolf. But after discovering that I was not going to Sovngarde I switch him back... Although I miss being a werewolf from time to time.

Kodlak said; "We will come for our brothers who are hiding from Hircine in this very spot. It will be a glorious battle, and I hope you will join us in it."

Way I see it, it is rather simple. Dovahkiin defeated Alduin, he is one of four heroes of Sovngarde. Despite being werewolf, you're told you will join brothers in Sovngarde once your days come to an end.
All werewolves go to Hircine, dragonborn or not.

100% agreed. But you're not any Dovahkiin, you're the world savior, killed World Eater, stood united with Sovngarde heroes and defeated Alduin. You can even summon those heroes to aid you. The way I see it, Sovngarde awaits, as you're told. Some may say, perhaps it is a game issue, for he doesn't know you're a werewolf... Even smaller things are noticed by NPC's, and I think you would be told for such thing in Sovngarde, if it was an issue.

And turn into a god like that Talos fellow?
Eh, I might cure Lycanthropy anyway. (not sure though) It gets unrealistic when you end up not using it.

Hmmm...would Nord Vampires go to Sovngarde? Or would those go to Molag Bal or something?

You make a good point, I will think about it when I finish the companions questline. Then I'll decude if I will stay werewolf or not.

HAHA, this doesnt mean you WILL go to Hircines Hunting Grounds... no need to cure it for something that will never happen!

My Dragonborn character is actually centred around him being Dovahkiin, but he is also a Werewolf, he is also an agent of Dibella, Boethias champion (he has to sacrafice himself so her evils would not go in the wrong hands) and has 'given his soul' to all sorts of other, Nocturnal, whoever else! But the evil ones he has done to save the rest of the world from their evils, i have also been a Vampire for a while, for Serana' sake... its called Roleplaying! Because i know when he finally dies (he still has many MANY adventures to come yet!), but when he does, the gods themselves will fight over the soul of the Dragonborn, and unfortunatly, the Dragonborn never gets a holiday, he will have to come sort them all out, he will ultimately become an extension of Talos and Akatosh (to the mortals, he is still his own person), and then he will be able to travel to Sovngarde, to the Shivering Isles, to Nirn, to wherever he pleases, he will be hanging out in Aetherius with the divines! Roleplaying man... use it!

Then, by your rules, stay in Sovngarde! Its up to you what you do with your characters fate!
Say that, depite being a werewolf, the influence of Shor is much stronger, as he has more followers and so your soul will go to Sovngarde, and he will purge you of your Wolf Spirit when you get there, and then you can live in Halls of Valor happily ever after yada yada yada!

Thats a good question, I would think they would go to sovngarde if thats where they want to go and if they aren't evil.

Minor spoiler: When you go to do clavicus vile (spelling) quest and make to to his shrine he has a bunch of vampire followers who wanted his help in ending their curse. He killed them, I'd assume he gets their souls still.

Talos fellow's actually.

Vampires likely go off into the Dreamsleeve, unless for some reason, their soul is bound to an Aedra or Daedra.

Shor ain't taking in no filthily mutt. If you want it to stay lore accurate, your Character would go to the hunting grounds.

Then again, you don't have to be lore accurate with your character. That is a choice for you to make.

I will just decide when I finished the questline.

And then like I mentioned before, after a while the human form will be stronger, resulting into me barely using it. It would be very unrealistic to keep the curse then.

Nope those were all willful servants of Nocturnal. Or employees as its considered more of a buisness transaction. No mention is made of Nocturnal getting to punish Mercer for eterinity. If she had the power to enforce her claim on the unwilling something would be said of it after Mercer's death.

My nord wolf went to the hunting grounds but I Rped that Kodlak and the heroes followed their plan of liberating the other wolfs who didn't want to be there. The plan worked and now my nord is back in Sovengarde.

By all technicalities Akatosh would get your soul since it is the soul of a dov.

This is often my reason to join the college.
I roleplay that I came to study the Thu'um, and I will just ignore the whole ''arch mage'' thing.

I guess that joining Akatosh is quite a honour for a nord too, right?
