If you were stuck on a deserted island...

Post » Mon May 14, 2012 10:44 am

If you were stuck on a deserted island with magic electricity, and you had a pc and one console of choice, what FIVE games would you bring along with you?

This question is not asking "how would you escape the island" or "how would you survive on the island".

NO INTERNET.

Just a fun question.

Here is what I would pick,

PC - Oblivion
PC - Skyrim
PC - Morrowind
PC - Fallout 3
Xbox - KotOR

Xbox360 with Dark Souls. Might finally complete it that way

Skyrim won't even install if you have no internet.

I'd bring Eclipse, MS Visual Studio, OSGeo4W, IDA Pro and Dwarf Fortress.

Mirror's Edge, Grand Theft Auto IV, Red Dead Redemption, Fallout 3 and BioShock. The first 4 because I find them really replayable, the last because I'd be able to pretend I was in Rapture instead of on a desert island :P

No internet? Pfft. Online games have by far the most replay value.

I can deal with the no internet clause but I have to be allowed to bring along my mod hard drives. I'd pick: Fallout 3, The GECK, Oblivion, GTA: San Andreas and Fable 2.

It'll be neither! If I was on a deserted island how will I get eletricity to power my PC, TV or game unit? I'd build a make shift raft, summon the power of Bear Grills (Man vs Wild) and try to escape the island.

1) minecraft
2) morrowind with CS
3) substitute one game for tutorials for the more complicated stuff regarding the use of the CS
4) civilzation 2
5) Fallout 3

and i would be using a PC, i enjoyed half of those games on the console but over all i enjoy them more now on a PC.

I wouldn't want any games if I had no access to internet. I've played the [censored] out of most of the single-player games and I would probably grow tired and bored quick from those games.

Maybe I'd get Minecraft. Have never played it myself heh, but I want to and it looks very fun. With no internet I would be playing Survival, kind of ironic as I'm stuck on a deserted island IRL and should probably try to keep myself alive aswell. After playing for a while I will be under the impression that anything is possible if I put enough effort into it, and start creating my own house and stuff on the island.

1. Morrowind
2. Morrowind's CS (seems cheating to count them as one)
3. Halo Reach (for the forge, especially)
4. Skyrim
5. Skyrim's CK

But I would take musical instruments over games any time.

Really depends on how long I'm on the island. If I'm only a few days or weeks I'd settle for shorter but better games while if I'm stuck there for months I'd take more long-living games like strategy and games that I know how to mod.

PC : Skyrim, Fallout (3 or New Vegas? Aaaargh, unfair decision, let's say New Vegas). And my guilty pleasure, Sacred 2.
Nintendo 64 : Ocarina of Time, Turok : seeds of Evil.

[Edit : but I am with Idon'tunderstand. A banjo, or a classical guitar, or five games, the games wouldn't be in the running.]

PC- Minecraft
PC- Simcity with all expansions
PC- Sims 3
PC- Fallout: New Vegas (Provided it is a special anti-DRM copy)
PC- Fallout 3

I only play on PS3, but why would I switch to PC? Better quality and are moddable.

I'd bring five of the biggest collector's editions of games so I could build a raft and get the hell off the island.

Never said they were pre-loaded. ;)

PC: Morrowind GOTY + CS
PC: Oblivion GOTY + CS
PC: Nancy Drew: Shadow's Edge (because I like the bento mini game and it's random)
PS3: Lego Star Wars
PC: Myst 5: End of Ages (because I've never played it and they take me a while)

Not sure about console. Would it not require Xbox Live or something?
