Soo, what is your best gaming experience? Mine must be Fallout 3 and The assassins creed series. I'll like to hear yours :disguise:

Do you mean favorite games/series?

Mine are:
1-Fallout Series
2-Bioshock (the original)
3-Half-Life Series (includes Portal 1-2)
4-inFAMOUS (the original)
5-Deus Ex Series
6-Batman Series (Batman: Arkham Asylum and Batman: Arkham City)
7-Minecraft
8-Mortal Kombat Series
9-Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic 2 (never played the first one)
10-Assassin's Creed Series

This should probably go into community discussion.

You're right, this should be in community discussion.

Playing Morrowind for the first time, exploring Seyda Neen and its surroundings, and then discovering the world map.

Seriously, it's this big, and I can go anywhere?

I never played anything close to an open world game before, and it was also one of my first RPGs.

More recently, there was Bastion. I enjoyed the hell out of that game and its soundtrack from start to end. And then at the end, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GDflVhOpS4E played during the credits... It was perfect.

Metal Gear Solid on the PSX.

I got the game around 10am in the morning. 10pm that night, I was watching the end credits.

BEST. DAY. EVER.

VNs are games apparently. If thats the case, Narcissu.
Or YMK and KS, both made me feel something, unlike previous things I played.

Felt the same way when playing FO3 the first time - it was just too good to be true.

"Shadows Of The Empire" on the Nintendo 64.

Jetpack battle with Boba Fett.

Holy Crap! I'm fighting Boba Fett!

It's hard for you to imagine if you didn't grow up with the original "Star Wars" Trilogy.

That suddenly thrust me headfirst into the greatest fantasy adventure ever created.

That was so amazing.

I have played better games but that moment in time is the greatest gaming experience I've ever had.

I did that with the first Just Cause. The feeling quickly faded when I discovered that the only way to travel was by incredibly boring, slowly moving plane.

YMK = yume miru kusuri. Its a VN, has girls with different problems, bullying, drugs and interpersonal. Only played the bullying path. Good game, aside from the six scenes, those were horrible to read through, so I skipped them. Game got a strong reaction from me (rage) which makes me enjoy it.

Ks = Katawa shoujo. Its the one about disabled girls, game made me feel pretty sad at parts, not as sad as narcissu. But still. I enjoy feeling emotional over these, even if its sadness, it feels good for some reason.

Ah, ok, cheers! :)

I remember those types of games... They were HUGE (and still are) in Japan. Were these released in America/Europe?

Probably playing all of the HL2 games within a couple days whilst on vacation. It was my first time through, and I spent all day playing. It was quite fun.

Narcissu is availible for free download http://narcissu.insani.org/down.htmlHowever there are no choices to make.
Katawa shoujo was made by people from a site we cant discuss (suprisingly tasteful). Its in English, also free download from http://katawa-shoujo.com/download.php
YMK I had to buy, it was translated, but the translation had a few errors. I got it off J-list.

Edit: J-list had other VNs too, only one that caught my eye was, Kana little sister. Apparently its soul crushing.

A second vote for Katawa Shoujo :) Playing through Pathologic was pretty special as well, I'd never played anything that hates the player quite so much yet still remains so playable and wonderful.

Starcraft multiplayer and the friend I was playing asking:

What are those?
- Carriers
They yours?
- Yeah
Why are there six of them?
- Because you're [censored]
:D

Thunderstorms in Stalker are great as well.
Mordin singing in Mass Effect 2, his little awkward cough at the end :D
