I always find this intriguing to know, because its not like an MMO such as WoW and nobody on your friends list and such ever knows your IG name, but playing through TES i always imagine people actually do know my name, and try BE my character as much as i can. I always stick with my gamertag as my IG name Merihem, which is an entity/demon that causes pestilence, i know a dragonborn PROBABLY wouldnt take after a malevolent demon though
What will you name your protagonist and why?
A "fighter-type" build Orc named Orson Brake-Blade. "Orson the Orsimer" is how I think of him. Raised by an blacksmith (Imperial) in Cyrodil. Called "Brake-Blade, because he was an awful smith. He wants to know more of the culture of his forefathers. Learns he has a relative in Skyrim. Was on his way to search the strongholds, when a "misunderstanding" with an off-duty guard, first cousin of a noble, landed him in prison, and behind the scenes nepotism caused him to be unofficially "sentenced" to execution. That's why his name wasn't on the "list" and the captain said "forget the list, he goes to the block!"
After his escape he finally learned how to be a good smith, learning from an Orcish woman in a stronghold (where Orc women are miners and smiths). Like "Conan", he kind of just wanders into a trouble that he ends up having to fix, all the while still trying to find which stronghold his relative is in, and the relatives name, so he can know more about "who he is...and WHY he is."
Learning he is Dragonborn has caused great confusion, and he begins to suspect that, perhaps, he isn't completely an Orc, and maybe his "relative in Skyrim" doesn't live in an Orc stronghold, and isn't an Orc.
And with that backstory, I just play the quests in the game.
