Your most anticipated game of 2012?

Post » Sat May 12, 2012 4:39 pm

Another one I missed. Yeah, the gameplay of that looked awesome. Sounds like it hs real potential.

Even if Halo 4 were good (im skeptical) I dont think I would play it. Halo 3 ended well, the covenant was broken up, gravemind was killed along with the rest of the flood. The ark ws destroyed. And it ended well by having him go back into the cryo tube, like how the game began.
My only concern is whether 343 industries continue to do a good job like Bungie did

Halo 4, what I expect to be the beginning of the end for Master Chief, but you never know.

I don't think so. With 343 in charge of Reach, they added an option to remove bloom, which from what I've heard has made competitive play that much better. That alone shows me that 343 is more in tune with what is good for Halo than Bungie ever was.

Hmm, not played Reach yet. May have to give it a go...... a look on Amazon.co.uk shows it's... WHAT?! £9.11

Well all those from bungie that devoted their time to Halo, and then some moved to 343. But what I mean is that I could see Master Chief dying in Halo 6, or they will just make it a cliffhhangar again...

Edit: Also when did they change this? I haven't played Reach in a while maybe since the end of October. Nevermind I forgot I got anniversary in December and played on Reach then. But I didn't really notice a difference in anything.

Hmm I havent played in some time, and now my XBL expired. I wonder howmany people still play it, and if its not sunk to Halo 3s community level.
I never got the helmat I wanted in halo reach. Damn you slow leveling system.

I think the average is about 50,000. Some games like the tactical one or whatever has less than 1,000 people in it all the time.

Dragon Age 3 (probably won't be released in 2012)

I would hope not. I didn't put it on my list because I pray that they will give it at least two years; Releasing Spring 2013 would be perfect.

While Dragon Age II was a good game, I would rather they create a bit more environments and a write a much more well put together story instead of rushing to get it out.

Actually I'm hoping for a 2014 release but judging by how fast they got out DA 2 it may arrive sooner than I hope

Did you play anniversary slayer? The pistol has no bloom in anniversary slayer. Note option, so the regular gameplay still has bloom which doesn't completely throw off that weapon set. But for the anniversary slayer and coming for the MLG, presumably the Arena playlists, there is no bloom.

Yeah, but only a few games. I definately wanted the campaign more than the new maps. It's probally why it seemed to me that the DMR became 1,000x better when I played, but I will probally get into it again after the 2011 holiday games run their course.

I wouldn't mind playing and choice and dialogue sound great, but EEEUUHHH I hate the look of it.

To high fantasy, and rediculously big weapons.

Very true. Those are a couple reasons why I was kinda iffy about it. I am hoping that since it is the first game in the series it will be great, but then they can learn from it and make a better sequel.

At the moment it's Soul Calibur V, but I don't follow gaming news so I don't know much about what's coming out in 2012.

What the heck is this madness?
All the best game 3va came out last year and there will never be any more anticipated as much as them!!!

I look foward to something that doesn't consist of <"Insert running series name"> <"Insert number"> and is original, fun and challenging.

Diablo III, and hopefully HotS will be out in 2012, but I'm not crossing my fingers.

Halo 4 has had one trailer, and it was just a teaser, so no body should be expecting anything great. And regardless that it is treyarchs history turn, has proven their installations sell better than the previous modern warfare.

It's gotta be Borderlands 2. Something like 250 hours in the first game and I bought all the DLC. No other game has done that (well, FFXI, but that's an MMO).

Oh yeah, the new Devil May Cry comes out this year, too. Excited about that, but not super exicted.

Isn't that game The Last Guardian an original? It's from Team Ico, so it'll be like their other games, but it's a new title.

Thank you, I'll check that out. I've seriously been getting tired of seeing all these sequels for games I never played or don't wish to continue following.

Assassin's Creed III, assuming we get a new protagonist/historical setting rather than more Ezio. Also, Soul Calibur V and GTA V (if it comes out this year), but mostly AC3.

GameStop ate them all. People buy games they know they'll like new, such as games that are parts of franchises they like or very similar to the franchises they like. Original games are risky purchases, since you don't know whether it's any good yet, so people buy them used a week or so after release, denying the publisher and developer from getting any money. You can see why most developers are mostly interested in getting one franchise to be successful and just sticking with it indefinitely.

Edit: Wait, I forgot. Dishonored. Definitely Dishonored.

Along with Risen 2, I guess I could say Arma 3 is on my list too despite me not feeling much like milsimming right now.
