Your thoughts on Cicero?

The Night Mother wants him alive, if you kill him you have failed the DB. He is annoying but you can't choose your colleagues! :P

He still holds onto the old ways of the Dark Brotherhood, so in essence he's really the only true member left until the Night Mother speaks to you.

I heard that, too, but she should've told us before we got the quest to off him. :P

And by killing the other members he 'chose' his colleagues de facto.

He's psychotically loyal, what's not to love?

I loathe and despise Cicero so much!
He's a horrifically annoying, pain in the ass!
He is a creepy, moronic, pshychotic, completely insane, stupidly dressed, narcissistic, fragwhit.

I don't give a damn what ways he is following. He needs to die, for anyone in the areas sanity!

The first time I saw him, I spent the entire time wanting to strangle him with his stupid hat! I was so happy when I got to smash his head in with the Mace Of Malog Bal. I smashed the corpse a bit after, just for fun.

You have to hope the Night Mother did'nt have to listen to his deranged, moronic, incredibley grating, whittering, constantly.

And he is very wrong for attacking the family he was invited into.
Astrid did'nt have to let him in, but she did.
And then he attacked 2 of them, 1 while trying to kill her.
He deserves death and more!

From his journal I would say the poor assassins who were in his group, at the end, left because he was such a hideously annoying moron.

I always kill him, every single time. No way in hell would I let that cretinous garbage live! I kill him the first chance I get.

And dark brotherhood is dark brotherhood, whatever rules they follow.

were you molested by a jester as a child?

It saddens me to see that so many people are hating on the Cicero. I would rather take an arrow to the knee then to kill Cicero :)

Cicero was justified in his actions, the traitors were slandering the Nightmother.
If I were there to hear them, I would have gutted each and every one of them.
He's quite possibly the best NPC in the game, he's certainly got the most personality.

I agree Cicero is the most loyal of all the DB. He preserves a corpse and wants nothing more than to server her and stab stab stab stab stab
loved his attitude BEST NPC in the game by far [censored] lydia give me that crazy bastard anyday

Cicero is a Member of the Traditional Dark Brotherhood, the Guild of Assassins for payment. This was meant to be a Secretive but Honour Bound society. Astrid has caused the Problems in Skyrim the Game as she has taken the role of the Night Mother for the assignment of the Projects. Cicero, though annoying, is Honour Bound to the Role the Night Mother plays and is dedicated to the Long Term future of the Society.

I have joined, but am too deep into other things at the moment to get into the Quests. Shortly Cicero I shall take up the path my forebears had played.

The Dark Brotherhood Group in the Game has been corrupted by the misthinkings of Astrid. However you take Cicero, he is aligned with the true path the Db should take.

Other than that, he is mad as a cut snake, and psychotically murderous. I always face him when he is in the room.

Killing Cicero is stupid, the only person in the DB who deserves death is Astrid. Besides Cicero is funnier and far less wooden than any other NPC. AND the only jester

You can't really blame Astrid though. She's held the brotherhood together even when it had no listener.

turning it into her little group to lord over you mean, then selling you out resulting in the death of most members when things threaten to change

she got what was coming to her

Yes at the end. But before the player character joins the guild.

I killed him because he broke the chain of command. He should've directed his concerns to The Listener so we could commune with the Night Mother for her to give us direction. The end result would've probably been the same, but with in a more ordered fashion.

This. I pondered a bit before deciding that he pissed me off with his unprovoked/unauthorized attack on the others. He didn't go easily into the good night, that's for sure. And for some reason, he's still lying where I left him, even after several months have passed. :1

No she didn't. In fact that because theirs no listener to guide the Dark brotherhood people's black sacrament was not being answered therefor the group was falling apart. Instead of her embracing the Dragonborn as the next leader of the group she became jealous and disgruntled. She even mention about not wanting to follow the rules. Cicero is very old school. He spends most of his time with the Night mothers corpse. When he overheard Astrid spilling out insulting words he became furious and went into a raid. Can you not blame him for doing what he did? Astrid even admits that she was responsible for driving Cicero to attack for being disrespectful.

So many people here don't understand him so they hate on Cicero.

First character, first game and when I met him, I found him so freaking annoying and he wanted me to do something bad so now I just give him and his wagon a wide berth and leave him standing on the road. He's still standing there. :tes:

well, from what i hear its been falling apart for a long time and its hard to know if she kept what was left together like you say, or if she used the situation to assume leadership

seeing her actions during the line im leaning towards the latter

What else could she do than try and keep the brothehood together, when there was no listener to guide them?

help cicero get the night mother over and search for a potential new listener for a start, instead of doing this she rejects 'the old ways'

causing bad things to happen

I thought Cicero was annoying, but likable. He was a unique character. Being a fan of the Darkbrotherhood I think he was in right in trying to kill Astrid. I guess Im just a svcker for the old ways.

Edit: Especially when that [censored] betrayed me. I burnt her ass with the basic flame spell.
