Post » Tue Jun 18, 2013 11:46 am

Started happening about 3 days ago... I use OpenDNS so its not that. Some Youtube videos aren't affected, but other don't want to load or load very slowly. Its not my Internet (36Mbit/sec, Comcast). Damn you Google!... wait.

OFFTOPIC: The new Google maps svcks :P

I too have had problems with YouTube---some videos will load others would load very slowly and with l.i.t.t.l.e m.o.n.e.y. It's also annoying when you're watching a video and it just quits or cuts short...usually refresh solves it other times---it doesn't.

DNS is a protocol using UDP port 53 It stands for "Domain Name System". A client (Your PC's DNS Resolver) will send a query to a server (the DNS Server: like Microsoft DNS, BIND, and DNSMasq) who will try to answer it, or otherwise ask another server.

A DNS Server is like an HTTP server, just a different protocol.
