J'Zargo is the Chuck Norris of Skyrim

Post » Mon Jun 11, 2012 11:29 pm

I find it funny he's the only companion that'll continue to level up with you. Definitely makes him a boss.
I think his leveling behavior is the same as any other follower (as in, he doesn't) but he's the only one capable of going to 81.

I agree. J'zargo was undoubtedly my favorite character in Skyrim.

Actually, Khajiit Traders aren't allow in the cities. Not Khajiits in general, if I am correct.

As for J'zargo. I don't use him. I have Cicero and Derkeethus following me right now.

Ah yes. SHRIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIL CIIIIIIIIIIIIIIICEEEEEEEEEEEROOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!

TF kind of logic is that?

"Hi I'm a Khajiit merchant. Can I trade wares in your city?"
"GTFO thief!"
"Hi I'm just an ordinary khajiit. I want in your city but have no real plan of how to make a living or anything."
"Welcome my friend. Step right in."

Pretty sure they not allowed in, though obvious the player is an exception to prevent incredibly limited Khajiit playthroughs.

Because the Kahjiit traders are known for selling drugs, which is illegal in Tamerial.

J'Zargo is easily the best follower because as has been stated, he levels to 81. He's my follower right now and the only thing that concerns me is that I've grown too used to having him around. But he's not annoying, which is a big plus. He complains a little when you trade stuff with him but not like Lydia.

With my Mage character, I got really upset because I role-played that him and J'Zargo became partners during his time at the college. Of course they weren't the greatest of friends in the beginning for reasons that could be considered spoiler-ish for people who haven't done the College of Winterhold yet, but as time went on, I started hanging out with him more and we just stuck together. However during one of my insane quests for greater power in the arcane arts, J'Zargo was felled by an enemy and one of my AoE's managed to kill him while he was recovering so he died. I was so sad.

I even delved into something I told myself that my character would never do, Necromancy. I know it's not a crime at the college, but my character's moral grounds stood where he would never go into such dark arts. However I learned a permanent spell to resurrect the dead and ran to the location where I decided to give him a water burial and followed the current to his dead corpse that was edged to some rocks near a waterfall, after dragging him to the riverbed, to my character's horror; J'Zargo was not J'Zargo. After a while of trying to get used to his new dead cold personality. I decided it was best to put him to rest. So I killed him again. And what made it even more emotional for my character was how J'Zargo whispered "thank you" as his soul returned to where it belonged.

And that was one of my many crazy adventures of The Elder Scrolls: V Skyrim! (although I shortened it considerably) Now my Mage called Velcrilius spends his days hunting down and destroying (if he can) Daedric Artefacts so these evil powers cannot fall into the wrong hands. He is a Breton by the way.

If you'd like to hear the full version, let me know and I might type it up on here at some point!

Have to agree with the original poster. I've been rolling with J'zargo for some time now. It's true he does gripe a bit about carrying your things about... but I like the fact that he's more than willing to put on any heavy armour and other battle-rattle you chuck at him. J'zargo in ebony with a hood of destruction is a one-man wrecking crew. Just sit back and watch the bodies fly.

In addition, take him home and he'll chat nicely (by his standards) with the house-carl and wife, and even cook some (although seemingly only for himself... typical).

You should totally write up your character's bio at some point.

Ahahaha! Thank you! But I think that would be stupidly long if I wrote his bio, I was on a proper personal quest to find the body of J'Zargo, I think it took me roughly 15 minutes; I literally had to retrace my steps because I didn't notice he was missing until I got to where I needed to go. I waited outside the entrance to the cave for two days until I began my search for my dear friend. And when I found his body covered in ice near a bush next to the dead bear, my heart dropped. I ended up giving him a water burial since we were so close to a river. Boy did I end up regretting that after I decided to attempt the impossible and bring him back to life! Dragging his body against the current of the river was no easy task, I assure you!
