I agree. J'zargo was undoubtedly my favorite character in Skyrim.

J'Zargo is a pompous cat with little respect for anyone but himself, and he ALWAYS gets in the way whenever he's "trying" to help (as a follower). That is, if you can get him to follow you after he's agreed to it ...

I find it funny he's the only companion that'll continue to level up with you. Definitely makes him a boss.

Actually, Khajiit Traders aren't allow in the cities. Not Khajiits in general, if I am correct.

As for J'zargo. I don't use him. I have Cicero and Derkeethus following me right now.

There are what, like 3 guards in the entire Winterhold Hold? Doesn't seem to difficult to me to just cast Muffle and Invisibility so he could get to the College. Getting into the College through the back door is a little more challenging.

Why would you pick Argonian over Khajiit? Khajiit does not approve.

1. I like Lizards.
2. Derkeethus is an Essential Follower. J'zargo can die.

Problem about M'aiq is:

"M'aiq has heard it is dangerous to be your friend."
And
"M'aiq prefer to adventure alone. Less arguing about splitting treasure."

I hope I got his quotes correct.

Might be why I can't talk him into following me.
But really I'm on console so I can't get no matter what but I have heard he is rather useless from the PC player's I know.

I agree he saved my live once with a incredibly long shot. i was being attacked by about 6 ice wolfs and i was a low level. he shot a ice spike spell from really far away and picked the last one off as it was mid air about to eat my face lol.

TF kind of logic is that?

"Hi I'm a Khajiit merchant. Can I trade wares in your city?"
"GTFO thief!"
"Hi I'm just an ordinary khajiit. I want in your city but have no real plan of how to make a living or anything."
"Welcome my friend. Step right in."

Pretty sure they not allowed in, though obvious the player is an exception to prevent incredibly limited Khajiit playthroughs.

It's because they're suspected of selling skooma and etc.

I love J'zargo.

I mean, like, literally.

But I'm just role playing so I totally don't have to read anything into that. It's just the voice, and he looks so....warm.

"J'zargo does not like when you stare at him like that"

Ignore him! He's just shy.

I'm sure J'Zargo believes he is the Chuck Norris of Skyrim, but whether he is actually his equalivent is another matter...
