50 for PC and 60 for consoles. Yup, yup. Sorry to hear about that though, I always hear Australia gets the worst pricing for games.

I'm trying to console myself, but it isn't working. :(

Australia hates video games. Or at least the government does.

If you go through Steam for the pre-order (I did) it is $50 USD (49.99), which only cost me about $56 AUD (which is still a lot cheaper than in store PC au).
But if you buying on console, then ya a little out of luck..

A big thing is where you get it. The places near me is the usual $60. A lot of the stores that usually don't sell games overprice them to $70. And Australia just gets horrible screwed over.

Christ, that's a lot of money for a game!

Can't say I blame ya for being upset at that price tag, just remember that it's the publisher that sets the price (Bethesda, in this case.) not the developers. Just trying to make sure you're raging at the right people here...

You're seriously complaining about having to pay $110 for a new 360/ps3 game now? They've been doing it since the start of this gen and it's not uncommon to find them at $118. Reach is. Black Ops. is. Fable 3 is. $110 is average for us to have to fork out now unfortunately.

Yeah I know, it's crap. I've spent thousands of games over the past....pfff 6 years? Even the new release ps2 games used to be $110. Take the Ratchet and Clank series for instance. Oh well, hopefully it's $110 worth spent.

Yeah. Games cost like that in my country too. That's why I'm thankful I can order stuff from UK.

too bad about the consoles, one of the reasons I didn't buy any this gen consoles, playing old and often bad games (well everyone was 11 once) on my PS2 is still pretty fun, and horaay for steam

It's only fair, they have to get the profit from it and I imagine it takes a lot of extra money to ship to Australia.

STEAM!

unless you're playing on a console which given your references to Ratchet and Clank you likely are

Nevertheless STEAM!

I will never make the mistake of pre-ordering anything from an Australian retail store after the exorbitant amount of money I paid for Spore.
