Little things please little minds ;-)

But seriously, what is your secret? I've done all there is to do outside of radiant encounters and quests, which by definition are impossible to "do". The fact that they're incredibly dull makes it no more appealing.

I'm over 500 hours in and my current character JUST discovered a new witches tower AND found a new follower there! Illia!
FYI she is bugged. Check out the wiki for details. I hope this gets fixed as I felt sorry for her and wanted to give her a new home.

On topic, I do still stop and stare at the landscape, and wandering around you find all kinds of weird stuff that has nothing to do with quest lines. There are things to complain about in Skyrim, but art direction and amount of content are not among them.

I've been through 7, and the novelty wears off quick for me. Mods to the rescue I suppose. (CK out tomorrow =D)

ha don't worry, there's stuff to do I suppose, like killing thousands of bunnies (I think there's even a stat for that) Hm, turns out I may be easily pleased myself.

I would like to know where they are myself I sure as hell did not see them.Seems some people are easily pleased these days I can not think of one redeeming feature the game has other than a beautiful looking open world.

I'm a easily pleased person  I'm quite happy with these days.

At 200 hours I stopped playing due to boredom.

That's pretty disappointing, because it doesn't sound like you got your money back.

And why are you still here if you are not playing Skyrim and you are sooooooooo bored with it?

I salute you malcontent.

Yea, I checked the wiki to find out her stats and why she won't wear any armor I give here (except a helmet, but that means she's in her undies, wearing just the helmet LOL Console command will fix it hehe). Damage wise, I love her though! LOL She can also dual wield staves!

I have 534hr into the game and I'm still awestruck by how the map looks and I'm still noticing lots of little things like the % of chance you have pickpocketing the item in someones inventory, I just nopticed ants on a tree stump in Riverwood, there are all kinds of little grave yards scattered throughout the map, etc..... I'm pretty sure there are still things out on the map that I have yet to see.And I'm on xbox, I would go into shock playing on PC with all that they can do.

I am still finding new dungeons (...).

I am still finding vistas (....)

I am still (...)

I am still (...)

(...)

360 hours, only one char for now, and same as you here.

I even walk the same paths again and again, Solitude / Whiterun, Riften / Windhelm, Whiterun / Greybeards... again and again, taking a lot of time everytime as I don't run, just walk, and still I stop to watch the mountains, the river or any interesting stuff I find around.

Skyrim is a masterpiece. I have as much fun playing my level 45 as I do my newly created characters. Over 100 hours and still discovering new places and quests every single visit. And now that I've started slowly adding mods, the game just gets better and better.

I've got 3 characters, 200+ hours, I haven't completed the companions, thieve's guild, mages college, civil war, or the main quest line. I usually just trigger the dragons and then off I go. My third character was a mage and I got bored with him pretty quickly. Now that i'm 3 characters deep it seems like I gravitate toward certain areas subconsciously and it seems like i'm always doing the same quests whether I try to or not. For me, the game lacks challenge and I find myself getting bored more quickly than I used to and I try to get at least 80 hours, which is how long it usually takes me to hit 42 or so, before I switch characters. I'm on 360 so there's no hope of mods for me. What do you guys do to break things up and jazz up the game a bit? Next character I do is going to be the vampire assassin that someone posted about earlier.

Spoiled, entitled narcissists are never satisfied :)

But seriously, I still find non-marker locations that intrigue me, random encounters that play out differently between different groups, vistas at sunset or rise that stun me.... feel very thankful for all the hard work, effort, creativity and skill the team gave for us to enjoy an amazing experience. And at $60? A bargain to boot.

Getting knifed in 1st person in BF3 can be quite a shocking experience.

I don't go mushy over scenery & whatnot or call every encounter with an NPC a unique experience, Dungeons with stories? Point the way please & could you be so kind as to show me where the unique NPC's are as they must have passed me by or i'd forgotten to put my glasses on, Fallout 3 & Oblivion had these events in game but people don't go all mushy when describing them, Bethesda must have shipped Skyrim with a large dose of Diazepam or LSD or perhaps my imagination has disappeared completely.

After 600 hours i've seen most things in game & i am certainly impressed with the nice looking bits & the woody area outside of Riften, However i just don't get why people describe their experiences in Skyrim as if it's something cathartic, spiritual or an absolutely massive epithany.

I must be a narcissist with an entitlement issue for not seeing what some of you lot do, Or i must be a hater or a troll, Correct OP?

If you spent 600 hours of your life over four months on some activity, then I think we can all agree that you love it.

Could the game be better if they spent twice the cash on it? Yes, no doubt. But in money you spent versus hours of entertainment you got, what compares? Probably just online games where you rely on other subscribers to provide content for you.

I think it's great but the love & verbal exclamations of wonder happened to me in Fallout 3, I spent hundreds of hours desperate to find the love in Skyrim but i cannot find it, I had a bloody good time trying to find it though but it's just not hitting the sweet spot.

Disclaimer, I like the game immensely & there is nothing out there that compares value wise.

I'm also lost due to your reply, Maybe we can help eachother as you just confused me with your vagueness.

I'm not knocking other peoples experiences, I just have not experienced anything like what has been suggested after a lot of hours trying to & i struggle to accept that these unique NPC's & dungeons are really as unique as people make out.
So relax a bit.

I had a random dead hunter woman in her underwear falling from the sky. A gift from Talos I guess.

I stopped being in awe after the first couple hours and most of its beautiful landscape is undermined by the absolutely pitiful draw distances (http://i280.photobucket.com/albums/kk173/huMAnity_dues/2012-02-01_00001.jpg), even despite the fact that I'm operating at max settings.

Plus one-off random quirky NPC's don't really count as "unique" NPC's, because they're unique for all of 5 seconds until you realize their quirkiness only goes so far, and that distance is so short that its far from being able to use the word "far" to describe it.

Finding a cabin in the middle of the woods thats had a tree collapse on it and the dead guy in the house being named "Lucky Something-something" is cute but thats all there is to it. A dead NPC and a cute picture. Its much the same with virtually every other similar encounter one might find in the game.

Not that these sorts of encounters are bad but they don't make up for the total lack of truly unique characters in this game.

EDIT: Damn. I could've sworn someone posted after I did. Oh well, accidental double post it is.
