A 2nd Dragonborn?

Post » Mon Jun 11, 2012 6:57 pm

Ulfric said he shouted him to the ground and then ran his sword through his chest, but at the same time everyone else who witnessed the event said his body disintegrates when Ulfric shouted at him. Perhaps both are true, Ulfric's shout may have inflicted a mortal wound, but Ulfric delt the final blow with his sword.

I would love a cutscene of that fight, from ulfric walking into the castle and offering to do battle, up to the part where he makes his escape

I had forgotten all about the soul being absorbed. Well I suppose you guys summed it up, it's not possible for a 2nd to exist. That or he or she is chilling in a cave somewhere, obvlivious to the onsalught of dragons :P

The Last Dragonborn defeats Alduin so the Player is the Last Dragonborn UNLESS we aren't the last one and Alduin is gonna come back eventually then be killed by the REAL Last Dragonborn...

Oh and to fix some lore mistakes people made. Ulfric had trained to use the Thu'um which any Nord can do.. Just takes a long time.. And Ulfric killed the High King of Skyrim, not the Emperor.

Thanks for the clearing up, however what if the "last" Dragonborn is us, but an older Dragonborn may exist somewhere else. It really depends ont he context of the word "last"

Ulfric was sent to train with the Grey beards since the age of 6, and during his studies he managed to master a Thu'um which he used against the High King in 4E 201. What sets a Dragonborn apart from the rest is not the ability to shout (any housewife can do that) but the ability to absorb a Dragon's soul and steal its power. A Dragonborn is born with the soul of a dragon and is thus able to learn and use new shouts effortlessly while everyone else needs long years of dedicated practice.
I suppose that's possible. The shout inflicting a mortal wound, & Ulfric finishing him off with a blade at least. No matter how many times a random guard says it though, I refuse to believe he "shouted him to pieces." I just can't see that being true.

But yeah, you could be right.

Unless he learned a shout that is not presented to the Dragonborn because it is seen as all-powerful? It's possible, but not very probable. Who knows :o
