I'm about to start playing Morrowind, Oblivion, and Skyrim i

I've got it all ready:

Tomorrow, I will begin the most epic gaming journey I've ever been on. There are only two rules: I must complete the main quest and all the faction quests before moving on to the next game, and there is no fast travel allowed.

Real quick, I was also wondering if you guys can help me decide on something here... I'm debating on either having a Morrowind character, then for Oblivion and Skyrim those characters I create will be of the same race as the Morrowind one, and be direct descendants of the same family. So, the Nerevarine will be the great-grandfather of the Champion of Cyrodiil, will be the great-grandfather of the Dovahkiin.

OR, I may just make the characters new each time, with the race reflecting the land in the game... meaning Morrowind = Dunmer, Cyrodiil = Imperial, and Skyrim = Nord.

Thanks, everyone! I'm really excited!

Say goodbye to social life.

Play as breton everything. :D

I find that playing the land race is not a great choice,(nords in skyrim, dunmer in morrowind) because it creates a connection which isnt there. Dunmers will still refer to you as "outlander" for example. And limits choices, if playing a Nord in Skyrim, id definitely had to go with Stormcloaks for example. Main char is just somebody, no unique race or anything. Catrace. :D

Well, I hope you're not planning on beating all the faction quests on one char in MW. You'll be playing a looong time if you do.

Edit, forgot to say that it sounds pretty freeking cool though.

Torrent and Daemon Tools...i love screenshots with such little details XD

I guess we will hear from you in some months again. But i have one question; Does your negation of fast traveling includes the Silt Strider in Morrowind?

I would probably go local. You could even have it be the same character. A elf strong in the use of magic can live 1,000 years.

Wow. Best of luck. See you next year... ;)

Seriously, though, if you played as a Dark Elf in Morrowind, legitimately, they could BE the same character by the arrival of Skyrim. They'll look like some kind of aged Vampire with the Dunmer makeover in Skyrim, but they could still be the same guy. In your mind... :)

All possible faction quests in Morrowind right? Which great house will you pick? Also, does playing the Main Quest of each game include Tribunal - Bloodmoon, and Knights of the Nine - Shivering Isles?

Good Luck! :tes:

great point! although there are some issues, but you could argue that Alzheimer's caused your character to forget so many spells he knew back in Morrowind

I did that this summer, finished Morrowind and got about halfway through Oblivion when Skyrim came out. Still planning on going back, but the priority has dropped.

BTW, I spent a couple of weeks for each game catching up with the mod scene, and ended up with >300 mods each. It took a while to get setup, but it was stable at the end--and worth it.**

**Skyrim has carriages, in modded Morrowind you can http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com/View.php?view=Mods.Detail&id=9122 for real.

Don't forget about mods. If you're only interested in what Beth included in quests and people in Morrowind and Oblivion, then there's still the awesome graphics improvements available that'll boost the experience without diverting from the vanilla games too much.

[edit]
And as said above: you should give Daggerfall a try as well.

I was gonna say the same thing. Maybe he can't get out of Privateer's Hold like me. I die three enemies into that game EVERY TIME. :(

That sounds good too. I will be moving to PC soon. I would be interested in doing it from Arena.
Can you even get those for PC anymore, even Morrowind?
If so, are there mods for them as well?

It seems like I read somewhere that those games, or one of those games, wouldn't run with Win 7.
What would you do in that case?

I dunno, I'm on Windows Vista, it was a simple matter of downloading and installing it for me, it already came with DOSbox configured and all, so all I had to do was click on the icon to play it.

im sure Daggerfall is a great game, but it has no mouse look. Forget about it. There was a mod transforming it into real 3D world and full mouse controls, but i dont think it ever got completed.

Ha! Got that right. Just don't add quest mods, or you'll be in hiding for the next six months.

Exactly what I was going to say...lol

This will be a huge undertaking for you, but loads of fun in the process. Nothing compares to the depth of this series of games.

Have fun...;)
