You've never watched the show if you think its random. It isn't, because just about everything that pops up, except for a joke now and then, has to deal with the plot. Go and watch Susan Strong or The Real You. Its no more random than any other cartoon, and its also got a nice sense of continuity between episodes (I like how Lumpy Space Princess now lives in the woods because she's mad at her parents).

So what you're telling me is that http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PYmXFRnFat4&feature=related is just as random as http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jaPAYnINMKQ I think not.

But then I grew up on shows like Rugrats and Angry Beavers, so naturally I'm spoiled to the cartoons of 2011.

Eh, when people say new cartoons are too random, I point them to Catdog, Cow & Chicken, Ed, Edd n Eddy, Invader Zim, Ren & Stimpy, etc. It's not that they've become more random, it's that the art direction has, IMO, taken a step back. A lot of the newer shows have some pretty lazy art, but the content is still decent.

Neither are random. Taking a clip out of context doesn't make it random. Marceline was intentionally freaking Finn out that episode and it finally culminated with Jake trying to kill Marceline, because Jake keeps catching the acts from the wrong perspective, so he thinks that Marceline actually did hurt those people. If you think that its random because Marceline ate the red off of his bowtie, its already been established since the very first Marceline episode that she doesn't drink blood, instead drinking the color red to sate her vampiric appetite.

In fact, its about as non-random as it gets.

Surely any cartoon will have randomness to it, but to claim that all of Adventure Time is random is total crap. Watch Susan Strong or Mortal Coil (especially Mortal Coil) and you'll see just how linear the show can be.

Regular Show has its moments (especially the monster British taxi episode :rofl:), but it's hard for me to get into. It might be that there's usually just one setting, and the humor is...I don't know to describe it. It's just odd.

Honestly, it is random, but its great. I think its pretty good, mainly because it reminds me a lot of Superjail. Starts out seemingly benign, and then instantly ramps up into insanity. I loved the zombie episode. They did a great job with the Evil Dead references and the exact choreography with what was happening on the screen.

I've only seen a couple episodes but I love this show as well. If you want to see an Adventure Time fanatic you could look at my ex girlfriend. She has adventure time shirts and even a Jake the Dog hat

Of the few episodes I saw I like the one where theres candy zombies or something like that so they stay inside the town hall with all the candy people and try to keep them occupied. I cant describe any specific parts I like but the whole show is just whack...and I like it

This is actually one of the few episodes I've seen. I like it ok I guess. I do like Jake though. He's wild.

Actually, regardless how familiar I am with the character, I find a character svcking the color off a bow-tie pretty random. But then I prefer my characters to be more realistic. Granted, magic is unrealistic, but not nearly as unrealistic as some of the stuff I've seen on Adventure Time.

My point is, I don't like it, and that position isn't changing.

I love this show, and can't wait for season 3 to start (today, by the way).
