Adventure time

Post » Sat Aug 06, 2011 3:41 am

Cartoon network had an Adventure time marathon today, and I am absolutely in love with this show.

What's your favorite episode?

Who's your favorite character?

My favorite character is Marcelene, especially in the episode where finn and her sing that awesome song. That's also my favorite episode!

I don't really have a favorite episode. I do like Lady Rainicorn, though.

I've only seen a couple episodes but I love this show as well. If you want to see an Adventure Time fanatic you could look at my ex girlfriend. She has adventure time shirts and even a Jake the Dog hat :D Of the few episodes I saw I like the one where theres candy zombies or something like that so they stay inside the town hall with all the candy people and try to keep them occupied. I cant describe any specific parts I like but the whole show is just whack...and I like it :P

I've been watching it all day and it's probably the best children's cartoon I've seen since I was little. Finn is by far my favorite character, favorite episode http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fMw-d-EKPYU.

Heck yeah! That's the one where Marcelene sings that awesome song.

God, I love how that characters wear different outfits instead of the same one for every episode.

I <3 Adventure Time. I have an Adventure Time t-shirt (courtesy of my girlfriend) and I'd have to say my favorite character is Jake.

My favorite episode? Oh wow... uhh... either "Ricardio The Heart Guy" or "Death In Bloom."

Best show ever! I love his art style and randomness. Seriously I never laugh so hard as I do to adventure time. Plus the creator looks like a stretched out version of Doc of the seven dwarves. YEEE! I aspire to be that man.

My favorite is the lumpy space princess so good!

Diggy diggy, diggy diggy!

Yeah, me and my brother watch it a ton. Love it to death. It also gets really creepy once you realize its actually post apocalyptic. The Lich's lair being a train terminal with dead people as his minions is really creepy when you notice it.

Edit: Oh and Marceline has to be my favorite. Favorite episode is probably....the one with the poo brained horse, Death in Bloom, or The Real You.

"Finn, you're insane!"
"What, no, I'm like the smartest guy in Ooo now thanks to these glasses!" the look on his face is great.

BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

Huh, I never thought about it like that. And finn being the last human (according to the rainicorns).

The ice king is my favorite. Did anyone know that he is voice by the same person who also voices Spongebob?

And I'm fairly certain that Jake is voiced by the same person who lends his voice to Bender.

Never thought about it being post apocalyptic? Because this isn't just a thought from me, its confirmed. Not to mention the nukes inhttp://legacy.cubeupload-dev.com/files/89b71ecapture4.jpg

I like how they keep the theme, too. Marceline lives under an old highway. When they did Finn and Jake's vampire challenge on the top of the "mountain" it was actually a sky scraqer building with a helepad on top. The underworld had old cop cars broken down inside of it. You see that stuff all over the place and sometimes don't notice it unless someone points it out.

And I'm fairly certain that Jake is voiced by the same person who lends his voice to Bender.

Yes, John DiMaggio.

Yup, John Dimaggio. He also plays Marcus Fenix in the Gears series.

I'm watching Susan Strong and it definitely lends to your theory facts. :batman:

Not to mention "They Great Mushroom War", which is quite obviously a reference to mushroom clouds.

Now all the magic and stuff? No clue where that came from, but its pretty awesome to see a post apocalyptic setting that has magic, not to mention their weird tech, like the holograms and computers they still have.

Also, Candy people? Lumpy space?

That would be a cool setting for a game. Post-apocalyptic AND fantasy?

I dislike Adventure Time. It's no better than My Little Pony to me. <_<

My problem with most kids shows now is that they just throw as much random crap at the audience as they possibly can and shout "LAUGH AT THIS!!!!!"

You've never watched the show if you think its random. It isn't, because just about everything that pops up, except for a joke now and then, has to deal with the plot. Go and watch Susan Strong or The Real You. Its no more random than any other cartoon, and its also got a nice sense of continuity between episodes (I like how Lumpy Space Princess now lives in the woods because she's mad at her parents).

Wait, wait, wait, you dislike BOTH? Hmm.

Anyways, I've seen only a few, and don't remember the name of my favorite, but it was called "Madness from the Ocean" or something like that.

Ditto. That episode was hilarious and highly disturbing, and reminded me a lot of the creepy/crazy cartoons I loved, like Invader Zim and Courage the Cowardly Dog.
