Give 'em a dagger and point them to Bleak Falls Barrow.

It IS disturbing! LMAO

I got a really close look at the doll animation by sneaking up behind Svari and her bed (like wedged into a 4" space practically) and from that perspective, it looks so much worse...

Doesn't it though?! Like I said, I had to take a quick look as her eyes, wasn't sure that I hadn't adopted a vamp! lol

I would like meet the art director or whoever gives the final okay on things like this, who watched that animation of a little girl alternating between acting like a shell-shocked refugee in a ramshackle shelter in Sierra Leone or Somalia and a zombie/vampire devouring an infant and then said "Yes! Yes! THAT IS WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT PEOPLE! OH MAN, THAT IS SO AWESOME! WHO DID THIS? YOU GET A RAISE AND A [censored] FERRARI, MY FRIEND..."

I have given her 2 dolls, and decided to quietly take them away while she was sleeping, but only one was in her chest, so I guess that idea is out the window. I'll just try not to look too closely when she plays with it. LOL

I've interacted with Runa a bunch of times, but never an allowance request yet! She does play outside in RIften a lot and tells me she hangs out with Brynjolf. So I'm assuming she's already been practicing the family trade in town and doesn't need handouts from me. *beam*

(Hey... Brynjolf has time for the kid but is too busy for his boss?! *scowl*)

LOL I wish I could marry Brynjolf! :D

My kid complains it's too cold in the Pale. Maybe I'll move to the city for a bit. The house in Solitude adds a very nice kids bedroom.

Oh and yea, my son hasn't asked me for allowance yet, but I just got him. So, we'll see. I would give him 5000 septims! I have so much money, I will never spent it all! :D

Okay, so when exactly does Runa talk about Brynjolf? I saw your post and since I've been "surveying" all of the kids, I decided to adopt her for a trial run. I've had Svari, no spouses as of yet, and I own Honeyside, where we've been living for a week or so. No mention of him, in fact, she hardly ever talks. When she does, it's either "there are lots of scary people here, mama. Promise you'll keep me safe?" or "I like living here. The tree in the park is so pretty..." (ya mean that tree in Whiterun? that city about 10,000 miles away that you lived in for a whole 5 seconds?)

Do you need to finish all of the TG stuff and become Guild Master or something?

Speaking of Riften, am I the only person who's discovered the joy of taking a game of tag into the orphanage, then bringing it back outside to Riften--only with all of the orphans playing, too?

Or what I call "untreated sewage tag," where you make either kid "it" then run to the lower levels and into the water?

One more still weird thing courtesy of crazy, buggy Svari (she at least cleared that not-yet-adopted memory stuff once I adopted another kid...): I came into their bedroom at Honeyside to find Runa doing that bizarre "oh doll...how I will relish the day you finally come to life and kill all of my enemies..." voodoo dance right in front of the dummy, and Svari is standing in front of her, silly wooden sword in hand, and just glaring at her...

Okay, I got more and that's it for now, I promise! We're playing tag in Riften, they kinda trail off so I go into a few stores. I look around for them and where are they? Well, Runa is standing with her back to the blacksmith's store and by the rail, while Svari is standing maybe 2 feet away and facing her--like David Bowie and Mick Jagger in the "Dancing in the Streets" video, except that neither of them are moving. They just stare at each other like that for 20 minutes (yep, I kept track of the in-game time, because Hearthfire, and Svari, are so freaking bizarre and entertaining...).

I have not tried tag inside the orphanage, will do, thanks for the tip!

With my character, Runa has *never* said anything about Riften being scary/needing protection, and when she mentions Brynjolf it's that he gave her an apple. So it would be cool if it's different dialogue/disposition to city depending on your Guild status (I am Guildmaster). She also says Maramal is friendly and BTW I've done all the Mara quests.

If there is a branched dialogue tree, I wonder what other situations get affected by your background?

I adopted Sofie and lived in Windhelm. A few times she mentioned that Rolff (or someone, I don't remember for sure) told her not to go to the Grey Quarter anymore because it wasn't safe. It seems like some of the kids that are from that city have specific dialogue for it.

Also, Alesan said he wanted to join the Stormcloaks/Legion depending on if we were living in Whindhem or Solitude.

She's mentioned Maramal too (forgot about that), and just every kid I've brought to Riften has mentioned that and the other stuff she's said (maybe 1 or 2 other things that are slipping my mind. If she says that while you're guild master, maybe you have to be guild master or, perhaps, the fact that I have been putting off finishing that stupid Pursuit quest (you know, in what's his name's house? takes a whole 3 minutes? Yeah, I don't know why I put it off either...), and so the Thieves Guild is under lock down might have something to do with it. I'll test a few things (including going back to life before buggy Svari...who knows what she did...). I read someone else say that their kid (it was Runa or a boy I believe) said that Brynjolf was showing them neat/fun tricks, something to that effect.

Re "Maramal said I can go to the temple anytime," all I could think was "oh, he did, did he? Well that death wish-having pervo's ass and my foot are going to have a little chit chat...and dear, if you do go and visit but don't see him, just talk to that nice lady. I'm sure he goes out of town a lot...for long and extended periods of time..." I mean, you have seen where that guy sleeps, right? He might as well have a windowless van!

well if nothing else, boys and girls clearly have different dialogue trees. (smacks forehead)
