Annoying CHING CHING

Post » Wed Jun 06, 2012 7:55 pm

Hey Bethesda

Why must there be a bike bell constantly in the background of the game? I cannot use my HD surround sound system while playing because it is very distracting. Is there maybe a way to get it to go away without losing all sound effects that maybe I haven't tried? I want to be able to hear the game BUT that annoying CHING CHING is killing me!

I know what you mean. I think there's a mod out for removing it, if you're on pc that is.

Funny, I've never heard anything. Is there a reason it happens? Bug?

No, there is a "ching" sound in the background a lot of places.

Can you name a few? Maybe I have my volume too low but I swear I've never heard any bike sounding noise. Maybe do you mean the blacksmiths banging on metal or something? No idea.

I'm not sure I've heard what the OP is talking about.

I get annoyed by the sound a sword (or w/e weapon you're using) makes when it hits stone, though...

It's your armor when you sprint.

Or it could be your spurs going jingle jangle jingle.

God I had that the other day, it was driving me mad, I had to turn sound effects off it was driving me bonkers, I think Mike could be right as ive not noticed it on my Mage, but I wasn't sprinting, just normal running. I wonder if that silent armor perk thing will fix it - or just make your armor silent to others.

Damn irritating noise though.

It's your septims, jingling in your pocket. Just drop them on the ground and it will go away.

People like the OP seriously need to go away. First, somebody pointed out that even as an Altmer, you often are at eye level at people's necks/chests. Now I don't want to be noticing some stupid noise all the time. I swear, if this starts to annoy me...

Press x to put your hAnds away and it will stop. It's the ambient noise of your spells sitting in your hAnds.

I've heard it before... I actually thought it was my kids making some sort of noise until I realized it was the game.

It is because the bandits in the cave are watching Law & Order, just find their TV and smash it with a mace. Sorry I couldn't help it, that is all I can think of with the way you are describing the sound... LOL. I honestly have not heard this sound that you speak of.
