Any Quirks?

Post » Sun Mar 06, 2011 2:11 pm

For example ... mine is that I am simply compelled to turn on every single Ham radio I come across!
Yeah, I know they don't do a bloody thing but I just can't seem to help myself.

How about you?

I'm kind of the same way. I always think to myself "maybe this one will actually do something!"

But like most people, I'm compelled to check EVERY room in the building I'm exploring. If I think I missed one I will re-explore the whole building. Mine isn't a quirk, it's OCD :P

LMAO!
I know, right! Another of my actual quirks is checking bathroom stalls! Since FO3, I just HAVE to check the stalls for books/mags!
This is one of those things that, in real life, I would prolly be seeing a shrink about! :cryvaultboy:

I collect every packet/carton/single cigarette I find, and then sell them. Even when I have tens of thousands of caps, and weight is a valuable commodity, i still collect them. I don't even smoke IRL, so perhaps I should be a bit worried I've gained a nicotine addiction from my dad's smoking... :P

I also have a ranking of chests, and when I enter the room I search them in that order. For example, a safe comes before a locker, and a locker before a little metal box, etc. This probably comes from back in Oblivion, where loot was spawned depending on what type of chest you were looking at, and I wanted the best/heaviest stuff first...

I tend to go completely bonkers on enemies that give me too much of a challenge. I spent three entire magazines shooting the corpse of a single cazador that cost me three super stims and twelve normal ones THROUGH POWER ARMOR. Then just to make sure the damn thing was dead I killed it via console. This was AP ammo for an AMR, so it wasn't cheap. I've also been known to try to snipe with anything I get my hands on. Shotgun? AMR? Pistol? I'll engage at two miles with either one.

Decapitation is my trade mark. If I kill someone like a Powder Ganger or Great Khan or even Ceasars Legion I will pull out Chances Knife and decapitate the bodies to serve as a "warning" to the rest. It's ironic decapitating the Great Khans with one of their own blades

I have an obsession with cleaning places. Like that cafeteria area in the McCarran Airport. Seriously, it's an inhabited area, how in Gods name do you not notice 30-50 cans and bottles and god knows what else on the floor? :stare:

Heh, heh ... my friend pointed out that I have a thing for NukaCola trucks.
I started collecting them in FO3 and just sort of kept on in F:NV. I have only found seven so far but they're all over my room at the 38. What's sick is that it takes me forever to get them placed just right.
Man, these games can really drive a person Abby-normal. :fallout:

I have to keep every thing in my safe house organized. Food in the fridge, clothes in the cabinet, money and guns in the safe, just like at home(except the money it stays in the bank)!

I always have a teddybear with me and collect all teddybears I can find in my safe house. In Fallout3 my bedroom was knee deep in teddybears.

Even with 2 companions at my side, I still run out of storage space... I wonder the wastelands more then i actually fast travel (If on a mission/Quest ill use FT) and search everything i come across taking anything with value, So instead of having to watch the weight limit in order to fast travel to a certain location (Im currently residing at Novac due to having a room with a safe and plenty of storage) i look around for a Mohave express dropbox, So far most of the small towns abandoned or not have had them installed from what ive seen, I simply drop everything i don't need into the dropbox and send it to Novac, allowing me to carry on exploring my current location without having to go through 2 loading FT Screens.

That's gotta be my ''Got to'' for any playthrough, Saves time and alot more efficient

Same here, I turn them all on and stand there for a minute hoping.

I collect teddy bears (wanted to use them as a calling card, but there are too few), lunch boxes, and garden gnomes. I keep the teddy bears in the bathroom and the garden gnomes guard the door. The lunch boxes are supposed to be stacked on the dresser, but when I enter they always fall over.

I won't leave a female corpse spread eagle, I fix it so their legs are together. The first time I killed a female Jackal she ended up with a leg on a chair and the other out to the side. I didn't notice it until I was leaving the building and thought, that's not cool. So I have been doing that since.

I'm absolutely obsessed with drinking Sunset Sasperella and pressing the A button (360) on every generic person I pass by.
