My Altmer mage but he is actually from Morrowind. He is usually my second char which I do not do the main quest with. Or I just do the mq and go back a few saves before starting it. I am weird in keeping him apart from big stuff like that and usually throw my Dunmer or a char specifically made for that game in there.

I even try and make him look the same as much as possible.

I've considered it, but there's such a time gap between each game and each game also has mentions of the previous game's hero. I found it warped my mind a little and didn't want to try and reconnect with each, for instance in Oblivion they mention that the Nerevarine journies to Akavir or Hammerfell, I forget which. In Skyrim it's heavily implied through a quest that <<<<<<<<*SPOILER*>>>>>> the Hero of Kvatch/Champion of Cyrodiil has fully accepted his duties and position as Sheogorath, Daedric Prince of Madness.

I had thought about carrying my Darkelf over, but without mod's, I can't manage to make anything closely resembling her. Well Either of my Elves really. And the Empirial's and Nords, aren't even relatives.

I carried over my Altmer, who was a powerful mage. I used him for one of my later playthroughs on PC and changed my magic skills so they were quite high and changed my level as well. I couldn't think of why he would suddenly svck at magic, plus it wasn't my first playthrough so I figured what the heck...

I carried my Redguard over. I said that he got lost in the Shivering Isles and just found his way out 200 years later. He is obsessed with making everything like it was 200 years ago. No dragons, strong Empire, strong Thieves Guild and Brotherhood, things like that.

I enjoyed that there hadn't been a listener in DB. I just ignored Cicero's journals and said that the previous Listener was alive, just lost. Hence why there was no new one.

I like to pretend my character is the same as the one in Oblivion using some deus ex machina like the Elder Scrolls.

WHat that means is, whatever character you played in Oblivion, did you stick ti creating the same character when starting Skyrim?

To OP: Vampires.

It is not actually carrying over, but carrying over your Role. Same person, different game.

I found that giving my characters more of a lineage was more appealing then just carrying them over.

Yes, my bosmer thief. He's... not really a regular mortal.

He has of course changed since the oblivion days, he's more jaded now.

My Argonian Mage dealt in necromancy in Oblivion and became a Lich. So yeah, he's here forever. It's fun collecting souls though, for the role play value of repairing his phylactery (spelling probably off).
