Is anyone else extremely annoyed with Maven Black-Briar?

Oh boy, here come the flood of replies with quotes like "I work for Belethor..." "Have you ever been to the Cloud District..." "I am sworn to carry your burdens."
I havent dealt with her much, but she is kind of arrogant. Ingun is nice though. I kind of wish she was a marraige candidate.

I would at least like to talk to her and start the Dampened Spirits quest  . Like a lot of other folks the 1.4 patch didn't fix the issue where that quest won't start after doing loud and clear for me.

But yeah she is...sorry to say, the ultimate [Female dog]. It's even more annoying once you become guild master of the Thieves and Leader of the Dark Brotherhood and you still take crap from her.

It says something about that family that the "nicest" one is the one obsessed with the effects of poison on the human body.
Annoyed with her no, shes a ruthless, selfish, manipulative, corrupt politician. My feelings about her are a bit stronger than annoyance.

Yes. That's why she has no clothes or possessions anymore.

She "ran" Astrid. She doesn't run the Night Mother. Her daughter is a bit strange. Note the ingredients she was obsessed with obtaining. Then again note that Sonja's listener. Okay fine, bye.

Maven Black-Brier is a nasty [censored] who would be dead on sight if I could kill her.
I loathe and despise her.
She is going to die. I will sneak into the castle and kill her there if I have to. I will massacre hr on her damn throne as a werewolf, the b***ch is going to die one way or another.
She might not be 'essential' now the civil war is over.

All the Black-Briers would be dead on sight apart from Ingun if I could kill them.

I dealt with Sibbi because stealing a horse is screwing them over, and anything that hurts them is good.

She really doesn't bother me much. I tend to ignore her, since I don't spend a lot of time in Riften on most toons. Now, Nazeem in Whiterun.... yeah, HE is annoying.

You're supposed to be irritated by her. Not everyone is going to be nice in the game.

Yup, she is very annoying.

I think the game developers had a competition to see who could create the most annoying NPC ;)

You're supposed to be irritated by her. Not everyone is going to be nice in the game.

That is very true.

I hate Maven too and sadly, cannot kill her but I did cause trouble for her.

1: Fail the first few Thieves Guild Questlines (Like burn all Bee hives)
2: Kill Maven's son and daughter (They are killable. Sadly, Maven's husband isn't)
3: Pickpocket Maven's keys (Kinda funny; she wont be able to unlock her house door, if she tries to enter it when you are in Riften)
4: Kill the Leader of the Black-Briar-Meadery (It seems like he supports her)
5: Help the guy who is selling Black-Briar-Mead for very cheap. (He steals her mead thus the money she makes goes down because of him)
6: Kill Frost. (Prolly best option cause this'll effect Maven and the other guy who wanted that horse. That other guy is almost as bad)

Or just become the Listener and Guildmaster of them. When you are the boss, you can cut the deals/arrangements with Maven. That what I would do, if possible. (Forgot to quote yea)

Yes I am, indeed. Makes me wish for an alternative questline where I could of helped Mjoll burn out the Thieves Guild and
deliver justice to Maven Black-Briar's corruption. A finishing touch could of been making you, as well as Mjoll,
Thanes of the Rift. Perhaps you'd even see that Ingun Black-Briar take over the household and give it a new, fresh start.

But such thoughts are improbable now. All I can do to belittle that scheming hagraven is to make most of her affairs go sour.

To be honest, i like Maven.

Even more, i like i can control maven, and controlling maven means i control Riften.

As Listener of the DB and guildmaster of the TG, i have strong leverage over her, i can sunk her meadery business easier than i sunk homingbread, and what can she do against me? nothing i cant make worse for her. I just let her be because well, she helped the TG to survive bad times, but one day im going to appear in her bedroom, and let her know in no so uncertain terms that things will change and now im the top dog, and she better get used to it...because i have connections.

Maven has connections in the Empire so you might want to be a Stormcloak as well.

This is a nice roleplay, I like this.
Youre quite right, even if the game doesnt expressly tell you, you have got all the power when youre the guildmaster of both those guilds.

Strange. I found her to be quite sweet, if a little wishing for greater, darker power.
And if I could of, I probably would have married Ingun Black-Briar, just so she could use me as her test subject, hehe.
