Anyone else find Amnesia: The Dark Descent too scary?

I actually enjoyed the screen going blurry and wonky, it helped with the game immersion. Like the player goes a little bonkers with Daniel.

I found it to be scarier when played during the day. I don't like to play it in the dark, with all the annoying blinding flashback.

I found the game nice, but I thought Penumbra was much scarier. The medievalish setting of Amnesia makes monsters more natural, while the realistic setting of Penumbra makes them all the more unnatural and scary.
