Yes. Don't you see how these other guys fall for the chicks in the Tavern clothes? It allows her to get close to her targets. :lol:

Sometimes, obfuscation is a logical dodge. Other times.... not so much.

Well, I usually only see her from the back so it's obviously not for me. :bolt:

[Not meaning anything by it really.... just a bit chain jerking.... oh, hmmm. What was that emoticon again? Ah.... :devil: ]

I think only my first character followed Ralof, after that they all followed Hadvar out. I like his voice, even if the accent is a bit off kilter. Never thought about marrying him though.

NP. I don't deny it - I'm a pig. Her fighting clothes are either Forsworn or Fur set with the Bikini top and shawl and Mjoll's fighting clothes are Falmer armor. :P

I'm the opposite.... I really dislike the "chainmail bikini" stuff that artists and writers foisted on us for so long.... While I'm not at all "modest" IRL, I AM a total "realist" (as much as possible in a FCRPG) about armor for my toons. Whatever it is, it absolutely better cover completely.

The chainmail swimsuits things look cool, but some of them are kind of overkill and a half. >;

And yeah, I didn't really get why some of my guy friends would make female characters in..any game, really, just so they don't stare at a guy all day. I figured it was their being insecure but I modded the unholy hell out of one of my Oblivion dude characters and I loved to just gawk at him because he came out so well. ;o;

I don't play male toons. I have never had any interest in approaching any life (even a fake one) as anything but what I am.... female.

90% of the time I go with female toons, but sometimes if I want to try a new RP-y thing, I go with male toons. I made a High Elf in Oblivion whose mannerisms I modeled after a Vulcan, and I rolled male for that one because SPAAAAAAAWK is a cornerstone of my childhood. <3

Hadvar's a dork. I didn't like him on my imperial run. That was even before he started following me around everywhere.

Heh. The ONLY time I ever watched tv even semi-regularly (and it was the only tv I really EVER watched....) was the original ST - in black and white (because we were the last family anywhere to own a color tv.... I didn't even KNOW they were in color until many years later....)

THAT SOUNDS METAL. I wasn't anywhere near able to see the original run, but when I was a wee lass, my father realized the benefits of showing me Kirk eyebang every woman in sight and Bones being all angry and DAMNIT and Spock being all logical and stuff over every reasonable children's show. And I thank him dearly for it. :yes:

And that's why Vulcans are neat also I still wish you were able to marry Hadvar. Also, Thieves Guild everyone, really. There's something there for everyone! (within reason)

The original shows are corny, trite, one-dimensional and seriously antiquated.... but I love them anyway. Some things simply define a part of one's life, and are forever lovely because of that.

I don't care for the whole marriage thing, or followers either. But given the entire marriage premise in this game, I find it silly that people who want to go there are not allowed to do so with any not-already-married person in the game. *shrug* Not my call, I'm not a dev or writer, but it's rather dumb. As for TG - once was enough thanks....

Over the years, I've run across more women who agree with us than who do the opposite. And more men who play fem.... Nope. I'm not going to opinionate on that.

I fought it and complained about it for years, but after having it rammed down my throat for so long I've decided to embrace it.

There's that and, also, I'm so used to seeing women run away from me the 3rdPV in which I play is a more natural state. :D

It makes the world feel a little less lonely. It's not as involved as marriage in Fable II and III, but it's OK. :P

It's fun to play them sometimes. Make them sixy and that's rewarding in a different way. :biggrin: I usually play females if I have a choice, but I don't mind a male PC either.

It got on my nerves that he seemed to have a competition thing going with the dovahkiin. Dude, give it a rest... but he does have a sixy voice.

One thing I noticed is that a lot of fellas in this thread like the lllladies with the Tavern Clothes. If you're on a PC, just force the stupid women to wear those clothes and problem solved.
For some reason, I now have a mental image of Paartunax wearing these tavern clothes.

... sixy.

At least, some of the guys here in the forum would think so. :P

Hm, I must admit that I rolled a male mesmer in Guildwars at some point last year. I didn't play him a lot though.

Oh, and I suffered stoically through a lot of games that force you to play as "the one and only" male protagonist. This varied from extremely difficult to stomach (Planescape: Torment - because I was forced to see this ugly mutt all the time) to not that bad in other games like some first person shooters.

I'm trying to figure out what is wrong with doing this. I've been doing it FOR YEARS and it isn't because I dont wont to look at a man's ass for hours. Has this world gone so damn anol that simple reasons are seen as lies? Maybe some men APPRECIATE women and express that by playing one in a VIDEO GAME. EVER thought about THAT?

Is there any woman out there that understands... cause it seems like there is none..

There's a really interesting article on this somewhere, and there are a ton of legitimate reasons guys play as women. I always tended to think of the 'playing with dolls, cos it's the only way they can get women to do what they want them to' (yes, I blush at this rather contemptuous opinion I used to have). But there really are a lot of good psychological reasons. Among them is guys playing in MMORPGs as women tend to make better friends to women because there is less sixual tension. As an example, for some reason, both men and women tend to accept married guys being good friends with a bunch of women if the married guy is playing a female... kinda weird, but I think humans have a long way to go to bring their brains into the 21st century.

As for me playing a male, I've only done it once when there was a choice, and it was in an MMORPG. Females and males do get treated differently in online games.

Now I'm going to have to find Hadvar in my game to hear his voice. I don't remember it at all. :(
