Anyone run into the sixual content yet?

Anyone know where the sixual content can be found in the game. Just curious if this content is part of a specific quest line like the dark brotherhood or appears randomly throughout the world or even in the main quest. Ay help?

First of all, it says it contains sixual THEMES, not CONTENT. sixual themes can be as simple as a verbal reference, such as the lady in Whiterun who implies her husband is having an affair with the Jarl, or simply the 'sleeping together' as implemented in the marriage system, tame as it is.

Don't expect pole dancing, or anything more risqué than the Dibella statues. This isn't Battlespire. You can make it that way with mods if you REALLY want to.

Good luck, this community is full of ignonomous grunts.

What the hell does "ignonomous" mean? Its not a word in the english language, that much I do know.

The big statues of Dibella in the temple in Markarth are straight up topless.

Which is nice- and realistic.

heck we have topless and naked statutes all over the place in real life. Go to any stately house or monument in Britain or Europe and they`re everywhere.

I get tired of this kind of prudishness.

It`s death and violence we should be worried about not nudity.

Beside those nice statues of Dibella, which I really like by the way, the sixiest thing I've found in vanilla Skyrim is Alva's lisbian hints at her employer at the bar where she works. I'm a big fan of Alva. I think she's the hottest thing since Runa in Morrowind.

I sometimes miss the sixiness of old Daggerfall though.

Don't expect pole dancing.

Indeed. I have never met a Polish NPC in Skyrim!

That rating says sixual THEMES. Not sixual CONTENT. Then it even goes on to give you some examples of the sixual THEMES. I don't know why people find this so challenging.

Well, visit the http://www.skyrimnexus.com/. I'm sure they took the modability of the game into account when they put that rating on it. (They have before iirc.)
Also, it may be because you can have a spouse. That more or less implies a sixual theme. You can even have a same six spouse afaik, for all it matters.

Personally I don't even pay notice to any of those ratings anyhow. They're usually very arbitrairy and highly subjective.

Personally, I didn't note any judgement in the post you quoted. They just stated a fact - the statues are topless. Not sure what's prudish about that.

There are certain quests etc, that have sixual overtones. Example- a necromancer finds a tomb full of almost exclusively female draugr and in his journal he starts reminincing about the milk maids in a nearby town, and then later he records that he finds himself thinking of those women when examining the female draugr. The inference is that he's attracted to the dead he is reanimating, sixually. the journal almost- but not quite- spells it out

There's a word for that. It's called necrophilia.

I'm having hard time not questioning the OPs motives. Or has he played the game for almost two months in terrible fear of running into "mature themes" and magically managed to avoid all of it?

LOLZ!!!!

well there is one misc quest this is a very minor spolier:
Spoiler
in Markarth where the Jarl needs a stallion potion delivered to him and the quest giver says 'this potion should help his problem in the Bedroom'

I know its nothing major but it's a reference that was pretty funny, who knew TES had its own version viagra.

I have played for more hours than I care to share, and completed almost every quest in the game that actually has a name, plus a good number of miscellaneous quests. I have never seen a character wearing anything less than their undergarments (seen when you remove armor from corpses or yourself), and I don't even recall being so much as sixually propositioned by other characters (save for subtle comments that could be read more than one way, like "If you're looking for company, I could do worse"). The rating for sixual content most likely refers to scantily-clad characters, and is probably just there so that nobody can complain and get the game re-rated later.

In case the comparison helps: Fallout 3 and New Vegas were more sixually explicit than Skyrim just because you could hire prosttutes (to share a bed with, no touching), some characters wore lingerie, and there was an optional "six scene" in NV which involved a fade to black and moaning noises. That was the "sixiest" either of those ever got, and there's nothing like any of that in Skyrim that I've seen.

Hope this helps.

I recognize one of the quotes in the rating as being from Withershins, an in-game book.
I believe another quote is from the story of how there came to be vampires.

sixual Content to ESRB means various things.. it can be as little as what we have in Skyrim and even Oblivion where you didn't even see anything (since the nvde model was in game not implemented though) or it can be as extreme as Witcher 2.

To be honest the Argonian maid books are as sixual as your going to get in Skyrim

Was it Oblivion that was rerated M due to the mods available on the PC(but the XBOX didn't have it as a problem)?? Thought it was odd that a game have it's rating adjusted based on mods that were only available on one platform.

it wasn't due to mods it was due to content on the disk that had a fully nvde model on every platform on the disk. Mods do not have any say in the rating cause they are mods. When ESRB got clue of the hanging dude from the DB quest they investigated and found the fully nvde model that was ON the disk and just locked but could be accessed via mods easily both cases caused the game to be M

But ESRB isn't the best game rater Pegi does a better job but everyone over exaggerates most games.
