Anything in the real world changed massively while waiting f

Since the announcement of Skyrim happened 2 civil wars-rebelions,one in Egypt and one in Libya.

And in Bharain, Syria and Yemen.
That's pretty big,

edit: or well, they didn't start much of a rebelion, but well The Arab Spring happened.

...they caught Bin Laden, Ghaddfi was overthrown, there was a huge nuclear meltdown in Japan, China is rapidly rising as the next superpower.

...yeah a lot's happened in the real world while you've all been gnawing the desk in anticipation for Skyrim's release

Got a job among other things. That's pretty much it.

Oh and we're getting snow in October. Does that count?

It's snowing in Oblivion? Never thought I'd see the day.

Two of my cats died.
Got one (1) job interview, but not the job.
Replaced a crappy overheating power supply.
Sat the Troll Table for a major SCA dance Symposium.
Attended two or three other SCA events.
Visited a Powwow in Anderson, IN
Went to Louisiana and spent two fun days in New Orleans and five boring days in Lafayette--except for the Myrtles' Ghost Tour, the Avery Island Tour, the Shadows on the Teche tour, and the Jefferson Island Tour. Decided I really don't like Cajun food.

The only thing interesting that's happened to me is that I'm scoring my friend's short film, which will be the first work I've ever done music for.

Spent the summer in Japan teaching English.
Heartbroken twice.
Fell in love once.
Became an uncle.
Twice.
Finally finished Oblivion main quest.
Decided to get my PhD in Japanese.
Went to Vegas once.
Skipped a lot of class.
Got a lot of A's.
Drove home from college (13 hours) in one go by myself for the first time.
Just the usual college stuff.

Got two grades lower in my AS exams than I needed to apply for medical school this year (out of nowhere too. I felt prepared going in and confident coming out). Gruelling year ahead of resits and ridiculous amounts of revision.

That's about it.

got a job, had it for two months, then quit. I quit school two years ago, so that's not an issue anymore. other than that, not really. I painted my room. lol. does that count? I live a very sedentary social life.

Lost a girlfriend, got a girlfriend, lost a girlfriend (all by my choice), lost a job, got a new job, got a drivers license, got into a school this spring, got a niece (first child among my siblings), wrote a book, didn't get published (didn't expect to)... that's about it for 2011 I guess...
