Are my eyes lying to me?

"Are my eyes lying to me?"

"No."

"I don't believe you."

Then why did you bother asking?
^This.

And to all those who asked me for video/screenshots obviously did not read my signature.. at all.

Obviously you don't have a computer with video capture software. http://www.ehow.com/how_5015867_screenshots-xbox.html

Edit: Space bar refused to work first time.

Because I just watched the Kinect trailer for the 3rd time now.. and I'm SERIOUSLY doubting that is console gameplay. There's just no way.. the graphics look so much better then consoles.

Either you're about to give us a graphical upgrade to consoles bethesda, or just lying straight to my eyes? Because my game (even after 1.5 and am having no texture issues) DOES NOT look anything like that.

Anyone else notice this?

Bethesda SAID it would be for Xbox. You're just overreacting.

Also, the only difference between a console and a PC is speed and efficiency. Both of which the PC have. In terms of graphics, you can't say it's better than a console because that's DEPENDENT on your TELEVISION RESOLUTION. :P

Ahem... PC user here. Although I have played the 360 version at a friends house recently so I know how the game looks like on the 360 (60" HDTV). This footage doesn't look like it's from the 360 version to me. The draw distance setting on 360 and PS3 AFAIK is permanently set to the equivalent of 'medium' on PC. This looks like at least 'high' draw distance to me (look at the distant mountains). And probably some kind of anisotropic filtering was also used to make the textures sharper. This could be an 'enhanced' 360 build they used to record all that '360 footage' before skyrim was released, with added kinect support. But, I dunno. It's pretty subjective. Just my 2 cents.

You're probably right. I'm a former PC gamer myself who was all into tweaking and maxing performance. Going back to console took some getting used to for sure because I could no longer get in there and start jacking with hardware/software and ini files to maximize the graphics.

Uh yeah exactly because I'm not rich. Trust me I know about capture cards, I'm currently unemployed at the moment (you know like over half of america is) so I can't just willy nilly go throw money away on a CC and then take pics/video for everyone to say "Oh that look's normal" when in fact to my eyes it isn't.

And I took (choppy) video of some examples of how my games graphics literally changed, and everyone.. again.. said "That looks normal". Okay then how does all the Moss on the staircase to the left of the Drunken Hunstmen have complete solid textures BEFORE 1.4. Then when I got 1.4 there's a bunch of "moss" pieces missing, alot of the textures are flickering insanely, etc.

If that's not a good enough example (and I even showed that in my video) IDK what is.. trust me I take notice of THE smallest detail and NOT just with Skyrim alone.

So I can't win either way, doesn't matter. I honestly have a trigger finger for alot of people in this topic, but I won't be a forum cop. I'll let the mods do that... that is IF they ever get on the forums cause I haven't seen 1 mod in the past 2 days.

It's just the fact I got this TV was around 1.3 Patch and the game looked damn near like PC graphics, noooo lie.
I don't think you know as much as you think you do.

First of all, I doubt the PS3 graphical reduction conspiracy to "help" the system run the game is true because the issue didn't have anything to do with graphical quality or the system's ability to render anything. It was, in all likelihood, an oversight involving the PS3's odd architecture and Bethesda's shaky coding (especially involving save files).

Secondly, an HDMI cable can not ruin your TV. I don't know if someone told you that or if you deduced it yourself, but that doesn't make sense.

As far as the video is concerned; don't mask an attempt to validate yourself as a genuine question. People hate that. If you know you're right, then don't ask. Personally, my game on all platforms looks better visually than the video. Skyrim looks especially good with warm, full colors. Of course, graphically, there's either no difference at all, or the Kinect video has some slight edge that I'm not seeing. Either way, you should calm down.

Go buy an HDMI cord from GameStop and use it for a full year and tell me it doesn't, cause it will. Basically the GREEN in the RGB of the cord got massively messed up and started creating horribly bad, eye burning green static randomly during play (no control over it).

And tell me my audio on my TV isn't messed up when I USED to play that TV on 10 Volume, after the cord I had to go 35-40 JUST to barely make it sound like it's at 10 volume. Unfortunately for me I never kept the receipt because I'm sure I could've had some kind've suit against them for ruining my TV.

All the idiots can leave now, seriously.

Oh and have fun while you can this will be locked very soon. I'm getting sick of all my threads turning into a console war/flame war/or just go COMPLETELY off-topic. You guys must really love me! <3

'kay, I guess you're right then.

You would have lost that case pretty badly since it's not technically possible. I don't know what happened to your TV, but an HDMI cable cannot cause damage to your TV.

I find this hard to believe. Employers usually love that sort of meticulous behavior. Maybe you should focus your attention to detail from Skyrim to looking for a job.

I've noticed that in other demonstration videos the commands don't react as quickly and indeed graphics do not look as crisp.

If I was a betting man I would wager that video was shot using Kinect for the PC and not for the 360.

Hmm, guess in not alone. I got those cheap multi console HD cords from [censored] gamestop & randomly, pink static will pop up. I have to turn the T.V off & back on or unplug the green cable. My T.Vs not ruined though, its just very annoying.
