Are most roleplayers Sheldons?

When you can't argue the facts, ignore them and spew some mindless flame-bait, hoping that you can derail your opponent into responding with some equally useless drivel. Useful tactic, but not too hard to figure out.

Now, if you actually disagree with anything I've said, feel free to try and refute it. Though I suspect making a coherent multi-line post is above your desired level of topic engagement.
hm perhaps your being a bit to aggro about that , pretty much seems like a reference to the show

Big Bang Theory Character- Sheldon Cooper. Very smart, but picky and egotastic
(Simplifying the scene)
"Hey Sheldon, I'll make you feel better by making you cocoa"
Sheldon: Not enough and not the right kind of marshmallows. Not the right kind of milk either. Such a sorry drink.

Now lets look at some posters and Beth:
Bethesda: Here, little gamers. Explore glorious Skyrim! Enjoy the new surplus of enemy types and better face gen! We made magic more viable too!
Player: Bah humbug! :meh: The game is not enough like Morrowind! We need figurative language and other fancy speaking from every resident of Skyrim! I need to able to craft a overpowered amalgam of a frost spell and fire spell!
Bethesda: But.. but... :cryvaultboy: We made the game feel less shallow...
Player: YOU DID NOT DO THIS AND THAT WELL ENOUGH!
Bethesda: :sadvaultboy:

I lol'ed

Someone give this guy a fishystick

Look, the exploring aspect is nice and all, but why have you kept cutting out options as the game series continues onwards? It does look very pretty, I will admit that - but you took out so many of the cool things you could do in the previous games. Even if you did add stuff in, you should pay attention to what people are saying they want back after each new game. Also, Destruction is horribly underpowered for player characters. Why do NPC's get scaling damage but the Player's character doesn't?
Bethesda: But.. but... :cryvaultboy: We made the game feel less shallow...
Player: YOU DID NOT DO THIS AND THAT WELL ENOUGH! First off, don't dodge my questions. Second, I'll say that compared to Oblivion, maybe you did. That could be argued either way. Compared to New Vegas, you certainly did not.
Bethesda: :sadvaultboy:

Oh hi I fixed that for you.

I agree entirely with you. My only gripe is that you can't make Destruction mages in this game past level 30-35.

Also many people suspect Sheldon is supposed to be representing a person with aspergers. Not even the Producers deny it.
I doubt most people with (valid) complaints have something from the autistic spectrum.

But hey, believe whatever serves your false sense of superiority OP!

Producers often don't deny stuff for ratings...if your asking your watching..interest.

I agree with the OP it's a great game.

I'm speaking more towards the opinion of Destruction in general, but you are absolutely correct. Turning down the difficulty on a mage character makes it feel just as challenging and fun as a warrior on expert.

I hope that the first DLC will have some kickass destruction spell tomes.

They've made the game feel less shallow? How exactly?
Was it the innane amount of "reduce magicka cost" perks or "+5% damage" perks?
Was it the shorter, questslines for guilds you do quickly when trying not too, even then taking the breaks don't make sense due to the rushed flow, which leaves no time for growth within the guild and feeling like you've earned that place? (I'll admit in some respect oblivion had a simalar feeling of now your guild master, but at least there was a journey to enjoy to get there)
Maybe it was the lack of character reaction to any quest, no minor change in thier daily routine or at least not complaining about the problem you just fixed for them, let alone speaking to you in an appropriete tone and with title to match the fact they now work for you?
Could it have been done with marriage having a choice of 200 people, missing some races, and all having the personality of a lump of coal with the same amount of courtship needed to warm it up?
Or maybe the basic lack of choice including frequently not being able to deny and refuse anything outright?
Certainly couldn't be 400 incredibly short quests that revolve around the same thing, how could anything be wrong with that when there repeatable, quantity over quality always right?

Hardly comparable to Sheldons need to not only eat a type of food on one certain day but that no other type of food can be eaten on that day. Theres a huge difference with severe OCD and not being able to ignore the massive and frequent flaws the game often rubs in your face like they need to be noticed. It's hard to not nit pick when the body is actually a writhing mass of nits.

That description fits forumites in general, not just uber RP'ers that aren't happy with Skyrim.

Except for the part where you're factually wrong about magic being more viable or the game feeling less shallow, you're making a funny point. If only it wasn't completely invalidated by the fact that you're factually wrong. Oh, and if you ever had played Morrowind, you'd have known that blending frost and fire damage into one spell wasn't OP at all. In fact it was rather useless and overpriced, but hey, doesn't matter what the truth is, as long as you're having fun spewing complete and utter horsecrap, right?

And here they come, proving the OP right.

The OP isn't "factually" wrong. You can get off your high horse though, if you don't mind. Your arrogance is not appreciated.

Funny

Most of the ppl on these forums that think like that are ofc ppl who started playing TES from or before morrowind
Maybe that explains why i like the game very much since i started playing TES from Oblivion

Not necessarily.

I started the series with Morrowind, and Skyrim is the best one I've played yet.

Sheldon`s character was TAKEN from the Roleplayer gamer and there`s no shame in it. statistically speaking rpgers are mathemetically more astute than the standard fly-by-night RTS gamer.

By the way, they made Windows 7 more user friendly than Windows Vista.

I don`t like that.

I am not Sheldon. I don't have anything to complain about. I merely posted about a few minor bugs I ran into but haven't complained about anything.

Skyrim, is everything I had hoped it would of been. Sure, some things could be added. But I play on PC which gets the CK next month and I can make or change anything I want. Skyrim is awesome. Thank you Bethesda.

Yet more drivel. So [censored] what if I'm not exactly polite to sheeple that spend all day praising gamesas for the depth in a game that is clinically cleansed of all depth? Why would I be? It's not like they'd return the favor anyway, is it? Yes, your opinion can in fact be wrong and it can also be stupid as hell. Case in point, look at all the people suggesting the UI isn't garbage. Opinions, but stupid opinions based on ignorance. Quite like your opinion that I'm being a hater or overly negative, simply because I'm saying what I think without holding too much back.

No, you don't have to refute what I'm saying but it does make you a [censored] hypocrite if you dont, considering how you're insinuating that my complaints are baseless. Of course, it's perfectly okay to be a hypocrite and in fact I'd expect nothing better from a person like you. After all, you're admitting to posting mindless flame-bait because it makes you feel good. As long as you don't pretend that I should give a rat's ass about your opinion or anything you say, I honestly don't care if you're a hypocrite or not.

That doesn't mean it's perfect, but it is an incredible feat of gaming awesomenessness.
