Are most roleplayers Sheldons?

Big Bang Theory Character- Sheldon Cooper. Very smart, but picky and egotastic
(Simplifying the scene)
"Hey Sheldon, I'll make you feel better by making you cocoa"
Sheldon: Not enough and not the right kind of marshmallows. Not the right kind of milk either. Such a sorry drink.

Now lets look at some posters and Beth:
Bethesda: Here, little gamers. Explore glorious Skyrim! Enjoy the new surplus of enemy types and better face gen! We made magic more viable too!
Player: Bah humbug! :meh: The game is not enough like Morrowind! We need figurative language and other fancy speaking from every resident of Skyrim! I need to able to craft a overpowered amalgam of a frost spell and fire spell!
Bethesda: But.. but... :cryvaultboy: We made the game feel less shallow...
Player: YOU DID NOT DO THIS AND THAT WELL ENOUGH!
Bethesda: :sadvaultboy:

I for one don't think this way and I believe that Bethesda have improved alot since morrowind. Yeah it doesn't seem as large and we don''t have fancy speaking and such but it doesn't matter since other things have been improved. My only problem is that only one place seems like a small city where I can actually get lost in which I miss :P

No. But that is how most of the world views us. Sheldon is neurotic, but people wondering why a system like spellmaking was removed is a valid question to ask.

Also, most of the new enemies are just enemies from old games with a new coat of paint.

Also many people suspect Sheldon is supposed to be representing a person with aspergers. Not even the Producers deny it.
I doubt most people with (valid) complaints have something from the autistic spectrum.

But hey, believe whatever serves your false sense of superiority OP!

I agree entirely with you. My only gripe is that you can't make Destruction mages in this game past level 30-35.

Except for the part where you're factually wrong about magic being more viable or the game feeling less shallow, you're making a funny point. If only it wasn't completely invalidated by the fact that you're factually wrong. Oh, and if you ever had played Morrowind, you'd have known that blending frost and fire damage into one spell wasn't OP at all. In fact it was rather useless and overpriced, but hey, doesn't matter what the truth is, as long as you're having fun spewing complete and utter horsecrap, right?

I was referring to the fact that people complain and nitpick the game while not appreciated the good qualities.
I used Sheldon as an example because that is exactly what he does. Nitpicks and bites the mouth that feeds.

How did they make magic more viable? If anything, they made it a lot less so...

He put in his double-indemnity girlfriend contract that disallowed most forms of physical contact. I'm pretty sure "mouth biting" is off the table. Since hands are are the most germ ridden appendage, I doubt there will be any "biting the HAND that feeds" either.

But I agree with your original point. This game is probably the best one ever made, and the fact that people complain about it at all shows both how far games have progressed and how little the ones who play them have.

Anyway, I'm going to update for accuracy, just for fun.

Bethesda: Here, little gamers. Explore glorious Skyrim! Enjoy the new surplus of eye candy and better face gen! We made magic more shiny too!
Player: Bah! The game is not enough like Morrowind! We need dialogue that isn't garbage, a world that is actually affected by quests that could reasonably be expected to affect the world, guilds that are more than just a name, ranks that serve as more than just titles, a spell system that isn't massively repetitive and railroaded, crafting that doesn't completely wreck game balance, enemies that actually use the same system as the player, less perks that are completely and utterly pointless, and not having a pathetically bad UI would be nice as well.
Bethesda: But.. but... We made the game feel hugely shallow so you wouldn't worry about drowning in a sea of options!!!
Player: AND NOW NOTHING WE DO MAKES ANY DAMN DIFFERENCE!
Bethesda: *checks bank account* As if we give a flying [censored] what you think, you dumb clown. You already gave us your money.

Funny

Most of the ppl on these forums that think like that are ofc ppl who started playing TES from or before morrowind
Maybe that explains why i like the game very much since i started playing TES from Oblivion

There is a huge difference in a character that is designed to be like that for a TV sitcom and the inarguable truth that someone who has a problem with something is more likely to speak up than someone who does not have a problem with it.

When you can't argue the facts, ignore them and spew some mindless flame-bait, hoping that you can derail your opponent into responding with some equally useless drivel. Useful tactic, but not too hard to figure out.

Now, if you actually disagree with anything I've said, feel free to try and refute it. Though I suspect making a coherent multi-line post is above your desired level of topic engagement.
