I've played Everquest2, Vanguard: Saga of Heroes and World of Warcraft. I enjoy online gaming but I prefer single-player games.

If my connection wasn't so wonky, I'd play a lot more online games.

Back when I was in highschool, after school we'd all go online before doing homework and play big team battles of Halo 3. Other than that, I haven't been into playing video games online...especially because I have to pay for bandwidth now.

18 days played on COD4 multiplayer, several days played on COD WaW and I daren't think how many on WoW. I enjoy online gaming. I'd say I'm split 50/50 between online/single player.

Yes, but not as much as I used to during the days when all I played was Halo 2 and WoW. Lately I've been playing more single player games. I think I enjoy playing at my own pace and less competitively lately.

I've played Guild Wars and Team Fortress 2. Enjoyed it a lot, especially when with a group of friends. I don't play either anymore though. I'm just too lazy. :

I play an MMO, so I suppose that makes me an online gamer. I've never been much into the most popular online foray, shooters. I'd probably be much more of one had I good internet for the past several years, but I didn't.

While I immensely enjoy a single player experience, I've easily spent more hours playing games online.

You know i might be willing to play some games online, if i did not have to pay to get on the servers i am a cheap bastard. but still it does not appeal to me.

Sometimes, really not that often. A bit of Lord of the Rings Online every once in a while. I usually prefer playing single player games.

Also i started playing games back in the old Nintendo/Atari days back then people thought video games were just a fad, and would be gone in a few years. So there really wasn't anyone to play games with when i was a kid. so i played by-myself all the time.

Depends on the genre.

FPS games - absolutely. Most FPS games, I don't even touch the singleplayer... it's just so much more rewarding playing against real people instead of AI.

With strategy games, sports games, and racing games, I usually play both multiplayer and singleplayer.

And with RPGs, I prefer just singleplayer.

I was confused by the question. I thought you meant games on the internet to which I said a little. I guess the answers the same either way, but it depends entirely on the game. I don't play Black Ops online, I just play co-op on Combat Training with my brother. Gears of War 2 is awesome for Horde(which is one of the greatest modes ever) which actually makes people do things that seem strange and unusual like working as a team. My favourite online experience is still the Free Mode on GTA 4, granted there are sooooo many annoying little kids and racists, but it's incredibly satisfying to transform them into red paste on your bumper. As for MMO's...the only that I am fairly interested in trying is Star Wars: The Old Republic and even then who knows?

What's an internet?

Er anyway, rarely; occasionally I think I like the sound of the idea, but then I discover that other people seem to as well, so I run away.

Nope. Aside from MMOs I haven't played a game online since Call of Duty 2, and I quit my MMO of choice in early 2009. I have next to no interest in online gaming save for two games: Final Fantasy XIV and Phantasy Star Online 2. The former is still in the process of being fixed after a botched launch and there's no word whether or not the latter will see a North American release.

Don't need a bunch of other people flapping their gums while I'm trying to enjoy a game's story, music, world, etc.

Nope, almost exclusively single player. A little bit of L4D2 and Team Fortress 2 sometimes, but that's it.

Before I started coming to the forums I was playing Company of Heroes, but never online, I preferred it that way. Also tried playing Far Cry 2, but hated it, so never got into that either. Seems like I prefer my single player games in my old age.

I'm an old timer and and on-line gaming never really appealed to me, until recently. Now I play a lot of TF2 and have been playing the RO2 Beta quite a bit the last couple of days. I also play a weekly EU3 MP game and poke around at LOTRO occasionally along with a very occasional PBEM turn based strategy game.
