It was just a joke, didn't mean to be taken seriously when commenting on leading a troll around with a leash and a cattle prod. :biggrin:

Lolz my bad if I sounded to serious, didn't meen to come off like that. It would be a cool mod though. :blush:

I wish the troll was slightly intelligent and could say simple words. That would make me want to take him everywhere and be his best friend! It would also be fun to learn more lore about them. But sadly I doubt we are going to see that.

I wish the troll had a british accent, drank tea, wore a top hat and know how to summon creatures only Cthulhu could, oh and to be a complete gentleman.

Joking aside I really dislike the idea but at the same time want to see how they do it, who knows maybe we'll even get a tribe of somewhat intelligent trolls.

I suppose you are right...

But it's in my nature : when someone throws an idea at me, I sometimes can't refrain from shaking it, looking at it from every possible viewpoint I can discover, connecting it to other ideas and schemes of ideas and so on...

Also, I feel that expressing the results of this thoughts is a way to tell the developers, in case they read it, "Hey! You know, we do care about your work! Thanks for inspiring us. Here is what you made us think to. Please, keep giving us great stuff to delve in and explore.". In a similar way, looking for every possible detail in former games related to a particular topic is also a way to tell them that we don't fear intricacy, and don't mind investigating. (In fact, I personnally love it.)

But in this particular topic, I hadn't much to overthink, as I already thought quite much to it as far back as when I discoverd the Uderfrykte Matron in Oblivion. I find Her fascinatng, and hope we'll some day get to know more about Her origins and status with respect to other Trolls.

i agree, i too like to take an idea and expand upon it...with this game i always envision something greater and feel disappointed when i find that it pales in comparison to what i hoped for.
i like your idea but it seems that trolls have become more beastly and less civilized through the ages, so no troll king or troll society..

Honestly, the armored troll buddies are the main reason I plan on joining the Dawnguard. Who needs vampiric powers when your best friend is a troll in a full suit of armor?

WAC for Oblivion already had some armored trolls. Beth is busy "stealing" mod ideas! (Well, I guess LOTR had them already and everybody steals from LOTR..)

okay, back on topic. I heard somewhere that it will be a summoned creature exclusive to the dawnguard. (the vamps get gargoyles). Anyway, it uses the same mechanic as, lets say, an atronoch. I also heard the spectral horses are also summoned creatures that both sides get

ha thats funny i never seen that mod or pic...but yea tolkien is the mastermind behind all of these ideas, even though he borrowed a few from elsweyr
