Steam gave me the option to download an updated ATI driver last night - I got the file but haven't installed it yet. I'll check to see if it 's this file.

Does this hotfix invalidate the need for thehttp://www.newvegasnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=34970? If so, hooray!

Not for me, but with it I do see a nice improvement using the hotfix. I was able to bump from High to Ultra and add 4x AA. Remove the dll and even High drops to nasty FPS.

You may want to give it a shot without the DLL "hotfix", me personally I have tons of lighting problems with that DLL that I do not without it.

And that's on a fresh install of 10.10 drivers + hotfix ?

I just D/Led the 10.10s and the Hotfix...plan on reinstalling drivers after running Driver sweeper tomorrow.

I hope it works...

I get good frame rates now...but I'm compromising too much for such an old engine. FO 3 runs beautifully at 8 AA, but in NV I have to actually use 2 AA and lower water multisampling...and have to use a dll tweak just to get it running at 60 fps.
And it isn't even really that smooth of a 60...some stuttering, hitching..not alot but noticeable and annoying in places.

I hope these drivers and hotfix work ! I want it flow like FO 3 does...

I also want to bump AA back up

As is..
19x12
2 to 4 AA
16 AF
V-sync on
Ultra
HDR
60 fps//

Without dll...half that.

Nope, right over top of 10.10b which was also just plastered over 10.10a.

I just added Rivatuner to the mix of my community fixes+hotfix for the refresh rate override option and what a freaking difference!

Without Rivatuner and just the community fixes+hotfix I noticed my character was running kinda slow with the animation confirming it. Though not terrible, it felt wrong, and it took longer to get places. (OCD ok? :P) With Rivatuner she's running normally and I even saw the FPS hit 18 in New Vegas and it was still smooth as butter. Amazing.

There is now 90% less mouse turning lag even with low FPS!

I highly recommend others try it!!

I'm as giddy as a school girl right now.

Just so everyone who is still having FPS problems out there knows, I tried just installing the hotfix (which in turn didn't fix the FPS) but after trying this I did a full driver re-install, including using driver sweeper, safe mode restarts, etc. After doing this the game ran smooth without the dll. fix. If you google "driver sweeper" and google "proper uninstall/install of ATI drivers" this should work. Look for one that involves putting your comp into safe mod to do the driver sweeper. Hope this helps :)

The changes are only for a certain series of card :/

Not that I have any performance issues (though when my virus scanner went off, I was getting like 2fps :o)

If I might ask, those of you that got the 10.10c drivers to work in FalloutNV with crossfire enabled and with your other core/s to have load, post your card model!
(All the times I tried it, my CCC said Crossfire was running and I got the logo in the corner while in the game, but my 2nd gpu was 0% the entire time )

Im curious if certain cards are working and some not with the new 10.10c catalyst. Thanks!

I'm using a 4670 with the new 10.10c's and with the dll 'fix' removed. Game works perfectly now.

Wow..!!!

Look and runs so much better !

I haven't tried it without the dx9.dll yet. ( Probably try it tomorrow..too lazy right now )

But as it stands it really looks better and runs a lot smoother. Setting it back to 4 AA didn't budge the fps at all.

Happy camper...

Running 5970 OC...( Crossfire card ) Big improvement.

FO:NV is running noticably smoother for me after this latest driver hotfix, plus some more .ini tweaking. Still getting the black bar that pops up on the screen when I transition from one area to another, but it is a minor thing and I am pleased with how the game is running on my triple monitor setup now.

The problem cause u can't see this driver 10.10c hptfix, because only 10.10 version official AMD supported, so this is like unoficial and difficult too find on the amd site. This driver 4 WIN7(32/64bit im suppossed 4 gpu's + 6XXX series) But im not sure this driver good 4 5870, cause in this driver we see a lot performance 4 CROSSfire like 5970 or 5870x2 ect., but anyway u can try
