I think its great! Idk for sure what I'm going to change too because my assassin looks super-cool already but if they got new face styles with that then I'm all the more happy with it.

edit: just so you know this has already been posted several times btw.

If they have new hair style in there it will be awesome, but if they don't then is kinda pointless.

How so exactly? It would feel refreshing to get a new look for my character and see him in a different fashion rather than seeing the same old character everyday.

they should add more new hairstyles to it. Since you're able to change your hairstyle during the game, they might as well add extra new hairstyle.

This is pretty cool. Is it just hair? Or is it war paint as well? Either way that's pretty cool, my high elf could use a change of hairstyle

It's not just a barber. You can completely change your face, eyes, warpaint and scars too, if you so desire.

It makes sense. Think magic seedy plastic surgeon. Still can't change gender/race, though.

That's great news! I hate having to start over just to change a few things on my character.

*Walks into barber*
Me: "Hi, I'd just like a trim please".
Barber: "Sure thing, how would you like it done?"
Me: "I think I just want a couple millimetres shaved off my nose"

Seems legit.

Hmm......I'm not sure if any of you noticed or not, but when the crossbow was shot, it said "Steel Bolt (158)" at the bottom right of the screen. That means there will be bolts called Steel Bolts and that hints towards a Steel Crossbow. I just noticed that..........OH, I'm off topic, sorry. Surgeon......yeah, cool.

Yup, it's known that crossbows are in Dawnguard. :)

Yeah, I knew there were crossbows a while ago, but it is confirmed now that there will be steel bolts and that means there will likely be a crossbow named Steel Crossbow.

No, but it would be quite unrealistic to go from a shaven head character, instantly to a character with full, flowing hair. Or to change your face or skin color on a whim. Or to change facial tattoos.

That said, there are times where gameplay trumps realism, and this is probably one of those times. Although I wouldn't complain if it was never implemented, it's also not a bad thing to add in.

Old news, but still welcomed. I never have need of a barber though, I just use the console to change my appearance.

True

I know that it is would be ridiculous, but I hope that there is a "I would just like to cut my hair" option... I really, really don't want to go to a surgeon just to cut my hair. Sure, it's great that they add an in-game facial edit, but I hope they add a barber sometime in the future so I can change my character's hair without feeling weird about it...

Also: a function that reset any changes you have done (so that your character has the same appearance as he/she did when you started the game) would be awesome. I have never seen such a feature in any in-game facial edit before, and I always become paranoid when I have to undo any changes manually because I always get the feeling that my character still looks different...

Anyways, it's great that Bethseda listens to their fans! : )

It's pointless to change your appearance for roleplaying reasons just because you wish to change how your character looks over the hundreds to thousands of hours a lot of us on here put into this game? Not pointless at all.

I am excited but from what I understand you can change your appearance not just your hair it you cannot change your race and gender. I hope this means you can change your hair, beard, face paint, and dirt levels. Hopefully they have some new styles of the things I mentioned too which would be great. This is a must requested feature in this game series and I am glad its finally added for us roleplayers.
