Because of hardcoe, gambling is practical

So I'm assuming this is the case but clarification would be neat-o: Does having a LOW luck skill mean you're more likely to svck?

I assume it does and hope it does, if so I see myself creating the world's worst gambler, debts right left and centre, junkie and general ratarse. Oh he would be fun to play...

'ahem' OT: Yeah sounds good actually, assuming there's some measure of player skill (mini games so likely) involved I can see it being a potential means of money making other than the usual 'find, kill, sell' cycle, especially in HC mode. Plus I assume the system can't be easily abused and regular cheating would be punished which would be a fun little route to check out.

You guys do need to keep in mind that if you get too good at Gambling you won't be allowed to Gamble anymore. Once you have earned a certain amount of winnings, the Casino will ask you to leave.

Yeah I saw that in the video but I'm guessing it's not permanent. or there will be enough casions + that threshold will still make it a viable income.

It sounds like there will be gambling outside of the casinos, with regards to Caravan players who are sounding like you could encounter them anywhere. Assuming there are players that rank from 'basic' to 'elite', compulsive gamblers may be able to max out all the casinos and still make a living fleecing Caravan enthusiasts out in the Wastes..... mebbe....

I've just realized with all the added weight + the fact you'll need to carry more goodies with you anyway to survive, the life of the scavenger got alot harder.

The http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Strong_Back perk will also be heavily favored by those playing in hardcoe mode. :goodjob:

Broah, there's two kinds of scavengers in this world; The first is a wise scavenger who picks up only items with a1:10 weight to value ratio or better. The other a bloody fool who picks up every vacuum cleaner, leaf blower, and pressure cooker because you can NEVA have enough Rock-it launchers.

Point being, that strong back perk sure is handy but things are going to get tougher now

Sidebar: I swear, atleast 25% of my playtime for fallout 3 was trying to manage inventory...

This is a Fallout game, not a little kid game. Meaning everything is done with a reason. Gambling will play a roll in the story line, I would imagine anyway. It will also play a roll in weather or not you keep, gain, or lose your caps. The choice is yours B)

That's why there's a cap on how much you can win. I hope you can come back later after NOT breaking the bank and be able to win just as much. It would be a shame if you could only earn X amount of money in the entire time you play the game.
