Wow...
They're only a games publisher, bigger industries out there could eat them and everyone else for breakfast; like a BP Games Depertment :P.

This came out of nowhere...EA is one of the biggest publishers ever.

If this is true, will EA have more or less DRM being owned by a Free to Play game developer? Or, will all the games just have micro-transactions? Like buying a helmet for your player in Madden?

Or a clip of ammo for your gun. I absolutely despise micro-transactions.

Wow...

I didn't know EA was as tiny as the article describes them to be.

Down with EA, all ready. There are much better publishers out there.

EA's stock plummeted HARD after 2008, and nothing they've been doing has helped them recover.

that said - NEXON? i mean seriously? there are countless other companies i'd've thought of first. Nexon seems so arbitrary.

They're still a very small company, though. They have, what, 4,000ish employees? Even in the world of tech companies, that's not very big.

This is like Ubisoft, or Activision being bought out. Very big news for the games industry. What does this mean long term for all of EA's development companies?

It doesn't mean anything while it's an unconfirmed rumor.

This could be good news for Bethesda. In a couple of years, I see them being the biggest publisher in this industry. We are witnessing their rise right now.

Ooh, does this mean that Nexon will buy EA, take what they want, fire everyone involved with EA and then disband the name? Awesome, good riddance I say.

But wait, Nexon....before you obliterate EA, could you at least, pretty please, give Brian Fargo Wasteland back so he can bundle it with Wasteland 2? That'd be swell. Thanks.

Justice!

But more seriously. I hope nexon makes use of all those IPs that EA left sitting and collecting dust in their basemant. And if they turn out to be the same as the old boss I shall await the day of their downfall as well.

Firing all of EA's senior management would definitely be a good thing for the games industry. A pox on the lot of them.

I hope no EA employees get laid off, apart from those rotten CEO's and big shots who are responsible for the destruction of so many small game companies.

I'm talking about the people who don't make the decisions, who simply work for an honest wage. It's not their fault the company they work for has become the antichrist of gaming.

While I doubt this is even true being on IGN first of all and EA having 2 major IPs that sold extremely well despite their flaws in the last year being BF and ME if Nexon buys EA that means CASUALNESS all the way.. Maplestory was good now its boring as hell after they added the knights of whatever and very much pay to win. EA isn't the worst publisher certainly not the smallest publisher either in any scope. I actually think EA released this so they would have a scape goat for their "reasoning" behind Mass Effect 3 and reasling of the Disk locked content stating "o well if released it we wouldn't make enough money" ya like ME3 wouldn't sell well.
